Have abandoned all hope of achieving anything as all four kids are now ill, have run out of buckets and toilet rolls!! Have done nothing more than basics!!
Hope the kids are feeling better today KidcatMrs Veg Plot my husband has depression and when things got really bad I phoned our GP, prior to his appointment, to have a quiet word with her as I didn't think my husband would tell her how bad he was. She didn't have to say anything, only listen so it wasn't breaking any confidentiallity.
Thinking of you.
That is a brilliant idea, I often go to the Drs with DH as i found he would moan about feeling unwell for ages then eventually get an appointment and then see the doctor but feel he was no further forward!!!! Often he would have forgotten to tell the doc, the most pertinent symptoms, in some ways he feels like another one of my kids, just a 56 year old one:rotfl: Good Luck though Mrs VP!Unbelievable snow up here, still falling and now the wind's picking up we got sideways snow
Same here Mardatha, we are in Newcastle upon Tyne,
last night it was snowing so heavily and thundering and lightning at the same time, i have never experienced that before, it was weird.
I have just put another order into AP, they have an offer of a 2.5 litre bottle of Sharwoods Korma sauce for 1 pence:j One per customer, and lots of polish soup very cheap, like 20-30 packets for 99p, depending on the flavour, i have ordered beetroot, pea and vegetable, i hope they are ok:)0 -
Sorry, ftm, forgot to ask after baby Sam but thankfully, it sounds as if he is doiing well - so scary though - DD1 had pneumonia age 18mths - went downhill frighteningly fast but bounced back fast too so I hope Sam does as well.Jan 2011 GC £300/£150.79 (2 adults, 2 teens, working dog, includes food/cleaning/toiletries)0

Have a hug Kidkat, but at arms length if that's OK! at least you're all ill together, and you don't have the kids bouncing off the walls while your head is in the bucket. xIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Katiegizmo if you are sure you don't have a frost thermostat, then if I were you I would leave it on at about eight to ten degrees, you don't want the house getting too cold, and the pipes will always be a bit colder than the air temp. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

DD and Co arrived yesterday with supplies from the supermarket even though I told her I was ok for food. I cooked tea out of my freezer and tinned supplies. It's amazing what you can put on the table without planning.
It's snowing heavily here today and I'm feeling so sorry for people who are stuck in road traffic jams because they've had to attempt to go into work.

Well not good news from DH's interview, he didn't get it. I'm still waiting to hear on mine, but they did say they hoped to notify this afternoon so I suspect that's a "no" then, otherwise I'd have heard by now. Oh well, we'll keep going!
Katiegizmo, I'd definitely leave the heating on low. When I rented my old flat out my tenant froze the place solid causing thousands of pounds of damage to pipes, radiators and the boiler.Piglet

Hi guys.
Hope everyones ok and keeping warm.
Really struggled today was so cold dident wnat to get out of bed and was shattered as up with baby 3times last night, hubby was on early which means stomping round like an elephant as usual.
eldest keeps jumping into our bed in early hours.
15month old wakes up like clockwork at 4am for a bottle.
Had nitemare on morning school run was cold put baby in her puffa jacket in stroller with fleece blanket she screamed all way to and from school.
she wont keep her hood up or wear a hat. she keeps kicking off blanket and hates her winter coat. Im assuming she was in tears as was so cold.
managed to get her to sleep for couple of hours when got home.
decided against going out for baby gym as just too cold.
Havent achived anything jsut sat by fire watching tv, hubby will be blaming me for heating bill no doubt.
Was hoping baby wake up better mood.
pumped up the wheels for 3wheel buggy thinking be better on ice and cosier for baby.
but seems I have punture and one wheel still not right.
Also too wide for door so have to fold/unfold outside.
put slightly less thicker coat on baby and few layers underneath with footmuff, tried a biscuit and bottle and she screamed on school run again and thew huge wobbly in playground most of mums looked at me.
Really wish I knew what matter is, her cold seems on mend.
she seems fine in house.
i think its just the weather.
popped in corner shop on way home as needed some bits got everyone cheapy gloves for 99p as we keep losing ours.Once got out shop felt like tempetures dropped again.
wish we did have snow as least that means possible school closure.
feel freezing despite being back in house for last 20mins.
waiting hubby to get home unfortunatly I have to brave cold again later as pta meeting.
Going to do something quick and easy for dinner tonight maybe fish and chips.
Daily politics today covered rising costs of food which was interesting.
Do hope sammy k is alright.
