Katiegizmo, I'd definitely leave the heating on low. When I rented my old flat out my tenant froze the place solid causing thousands of pounds of damage to pipes, radiators and the boiler.
So sorry about the job, chin up and keep going.
My DD was looking frantically for a part time job, CV's out the wazoo, millions of phone calls, all friends and relatives ears to the ground, job center, local paper you name it.
She is 17 but looks about 12 and has no experience so she thought she would never find one, but she did, and it fits in perfectly with her college hours, she loves it.0 -
Hugs to all those feeling under the weather. Had a very non MS day today - OH took the car to be MOTed this morning and the mechanic put it up on the ramp, looked at the sills and didn't bother! Had to speak to the loans department of the bank of Mum and Dad about helping us out to get another car, we're in a village with minimal public transport and it doesn't get much better when we get to the nearby town either so unfortunately a car is an essential. Hate asking for help but with one non walking littley and another on the way not a lot else we could do. OH found something on t'website of a local dealer but it had gone although he had something else which was a good price and even newer! So been and looked and spent :eek::eek: and came home with a new car. Can't believe how fast it happened, don't think the money even had chance to breathe out in our account before it had gone again!
Thank heavens for lovely parents.:A0 -
gailey,
My eldest was a nightmare with hats, coats, rain hood etc. She would have a total meltdown every time it was cold or raining and I had to tog her up in stuff.
I just had to ignore the screams in the end as I couldn't let her get cold either, complete nightmare.
I totally understand how you feel at school when they are screaming and all the other mum's are looking ( and tuttuing), but you can only do what you can, at the end of the day if the baby doesn't like being wrapped up what can you do? I mean apart from moving to the Bahamas!
Once she started waliking it all stopped and she loved being all wrapped up ... flippin nuts!0 -
In my experience the mums are looking and thanking their lucky stars that it's not their little one who is creating, rather than tutting!
It's human nature to stare a bit, but mostly people are understanding, especially mums. We've all been there too many times not to sympathise
And any that aren't kind and sympathetic, aren't worth caring about!!0 -
Thanks guys do hope shes not ill. unsure if should take her to docs..
She seemed less niffly last few days and runs/sickness has cleared.
Do wish she would sleepthrough night as at 15months dont really feel she needs the 4am milk feed.
I try my best to wrap her up shes kicks off blankets, takes off socks and shoes.
refises to wear a hat. did manage to get gloves on her this afternoon.
None of my distraction techniques toys, biscuits and bottle seemed to work.
She seemed calmer when her sister came out from classroom think she was worn out from all that crying.
Just had complex as she was screaming playground down this morning and this afternoon.
she can walk but its too far and she wont hold hands or walk in right direction.
Feel shes at awquard age where I cant reason with her and she cant communicate think she gets easily frustrated and very strongwilled.
Shes been superclingy last few weeks been quite hard all she wnats is me.
Do hope she be better when baby comes along she be 18months then.
hubbys on late tommrow so dropping eldest off in car if school open, they forcast snow.
hubby said he try and fix pram wheel later.

Grandma-not at moment dont think she would stay on it.
Tried reins on weekend with no sucess.
just put some karvel in her cot and got her some milk hopefully she go straight off.
Her breathing seems ok.
Dident want to risk calpol as made her hyper last week and that was only 5ml.
Got eldest ready for bed, daddys doing her homework with her.
Ahh can I have a little rant! Its my mummy freinds on mummy forum and some on facebook.
They drive me mad latly about boasting of spends over xmas.
But today cant help but feel bit smug as few people on fb said their online orders been cancelled and they have no food.
Does make you wonder how people think I mean nov/dec traditionally cold months and they been predicting cold winter for months.
But no one seems prepared at all?
Make me feel calm knowing if does snow tonight I have
lots of milk
eggs
flour
cheese
bread
breadmix
dried goods pasta /pasta sauces.
meat and other meal solutions in freezer.
coffee/sugar
plenty squash in cupboards
biscuits and crisps even fruit in bowl.
i think will do even better with stockpiling in new year as like to get all the xmas reductions.
One online mum seemed to think this was odd but she has rich husband and soends fortune and last xmas reductions made jan very cheap month.
Its weird how media give assumption everyones tightening their belts but still see plenty of people spending as they always have and not budgeting.
Sometimes being os can be lonly as so many people dont seem to understand they just say sounds like lot of effort or havent got time yet none of them work!
Started to hate to see waste slowly trying to convert my mam to shopping around and more cooking from scratch as she got made redundant 6months ago.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

My DS2 is 3 and he doesnt like being all wrapped up but after starting pre school he has come to realise that wearing hats, scarves etc is good, his friends do it and hes noticed how cold it is at breaktime.
Its been the coldest day here today that we have had, house doesnt seem to have warmed up until tea time. Ds1 keeps asking when the snow is coming as its so cold! I like the snow the day it comes but cant cope with the ice and aftermath. Broke a rib falling in January on black ice at the cash point, someone helped and they fell too.
Gailey I have some friends from old mum and tots groups on facebook who seem to live in a facebook fantasy land so far away from real life!Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Ahh its late just about to go bed.
meeting went on 8-10pm tonight got home at 10past 10.
lindyloo-I joined some mums forums when 1st child was born know some for years but havent made that many good freinds most of them drive me insane as always trying to outdo each other and brag.
Im baffled how most of them manage their finances as many dont work are singleparents or just their bloke works im guessing quite a few in debt.
Noticed a lot of people dont budget grocery bill at all and spend whatever they have left.
Also noticed they buy prams, clothes then moan they too broke to buy nappies or formula!
Also dont get how they can let themselves be completly run out of food especially with kids mine like walking dustbins never stop eating.
But then and again most seem to live off convieniance or takeaways as they dont have time to cook!
Cranky -shes very opinionated but not very vocal only says mama and dada.
she just throws tantrums tries to escape harness on buggy and carseat, throws herself on floor, wamts to be held a lot then when you hold her wants to be put down.
We have lost so many socks!
My gp says cough medicines just full of sugar which could be why calpol seems to give her burst of energy not help her sleep.
Its battle for her to take medicine.
They wont sell medised to under 6year olds now think its been that way last couple of years new rules brought in not sure why.
Always found neurofren more effective than calpol.
I do hope she will start sleeping through night before age 3 she was such an easy newborn.
Kidcat thanks for suggestion but tried several hats she hates them and throws them on floor. shes 15months on 15th december.
Im hoping she grows out of it and maybe next winter she be easier.
Theres little girl in plaground just 3months older and she always sits nicely and quietly in buggy with hat, gloves and blanket on never once throws a tantrum!
Typical hubby has fallen asleep again in our bed with eldests.
eldest far too heavy for me to lift so will have to stay there.
cant belive he fell asleep at 8pm he does that lots do miss some adult convo with hubby as hes always so tired when hes home.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
