Agreed.
There is never a 'right' time - and you can never afford it. You get by somehow and it's worth whatever it takes. I didn't want to go back to work when my daughter was 10 weeks old, but you play the cards you're dealt and it was that or not have a baby. Yes, I would definitely do it all againIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Congratulations to all the ladies on impending babies, :j:T
Now here's a who would have thunk it. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20101123/tod-marmite-thieves-snatch-60k-worth-of-045b8e8.html  I will be very cross if I don't get my marmite lunchbox from:santa2:
p.s is it my lappy or is the forum really slow tonight?Sometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)
It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!0 -

hello all, just a quickie as took me so long to catch up on all the posts I missed since yesterday lunchtime, and now I'm so cold that I need to go to bed with the electric blanket!
It's 13 degrees here in my lounge, as the boiler has completely packed upNo heating or hot water since this morning. Luckily my step-dad's friend is a plumber and came out this afternoon, apparently the boiler was installed without some liquid or something that should have been put in, and it's b*gg*rd the pump. Gonna cost ~£200 to fix  He has to order the new pump but hopefully should be able to fix it either tomorrow or thursday. Boo hoo hoo.
Luckily, I'm a member of a gym so have been able to use their showers
HUGE congratulations to Annie and all the others, looks like the OD-ers are keeping up with the nationwide baby-boom! (well what else are we supposed to do when we've got no money and it's cold outside?!) :rotfl:
Brrrrrrr gotta go, I'm far too cold.
Take care, night night
BB
p.s. I'm finding the forum reeeeeeeaaaaally slow too!"Live long, laugh often, love much"

It IS in...cre...dibly slow today and yesterday. Seems to be down to MSE trying to find ways to deal with the spammers who've been sending us out spam PM's.
My computer diagnosis came up with "this website is having firewall problems" or summat to that effect. So MSE is obviously trying to fix up firewall to deal with these characters and we are feeling the effect whilst they sort it out..
EDIT: KITTIE - I sent you a PM - but with the current MSE problems am not sure if it even "transmitted" - so can you let me know if it did purlease?0 -
Got to share this one with you - I LOVE to have my house smell lovely (am a smoker
so am very conscious of it)
For the last few days I have been eyeballing a solitary orange that neither DDs or I will eat so tonight, I peeled the rind from it, popped it in a pan of 3/4 of a pint of water, cinnamon, mixed spice and ginger, about 10 cloves and a splash of red wine vinegar and put it on the hob... OMG it smells divine! I NEVER EVER use those nasty chemical plug ins - see and smell enough of those in my job and never ever will have one in the house... But my house smells all Christmassy and warm...
Wonder if I can do anything with the resulting 'stock'? if not, well, my house smells beautiful so its worth it even if I have to chuck it away.
I was thinking that next time I do it I will chuck in all our apple cores (the girls eat apples like sweets) and it will be even better
Wish you could all have a sniff0 -

I agree with the sentiment but it's a bit more complicated in our case as we're a lesbian couple so babies won't happen by accident, if we have one it's because we went to the clinic and made it! So I want to make sure we've planned well for it. Doesn't stop us wanting one now though!Times is 'ard.0 -
Lauren have just been catching up on rather a lot of pages and read your post from yesterday. If you are not happy with what you are being told or what you are being offered you could ask to speak to a Supervisor of Midwives. This is not a manger type of supervisor but an experienced midwife who provides support to pregnant women and families. Anything you talk to her about is confidential and it might help get you the support you want. I have three children and had never heard of them till I got some work auditing midwifery services.
Good Luck, pregnancy should be a time to enjoy not worry. Congratulations to all the other pregnant ladies on here too!0 -
I absolutely hated being pregnant..0
