Shegar- I dont know how you cope but like you say you have to. One of my friends husbands had a massive stroke and heart attack a few weeks ago. He is on a rehab ward at the moment. He is only 40. I dont think she realises how tough things are going to be, they have 2 small children too. I worry about their financial situation as dont know if they have critical illness cover etc.

Annie 56 - great news abou the baby. Just shows you it was your ex with the problem and makes you wonder about who's fathered blonde flloozies.......

Well my step dad will be redundant after Friday but is getting a hefty lump sum and no mortgage so him and mum should be ok for the next few years at least.

So sorry to hear about your friends husband ,they have got a long road ahead.......please keep us updated on how things go, I feel for their 2 young children, bless them......
  • Congrats narabanekeater! Hope all goes well this time.
Jediteacher - it does depend on your fashion sense - and when I was pregnant, bumps were more "hidden" than they are now so maybe this is useless advice - but with DD1 I lived in my pre pregnancy jeans etc, undone but held up by a pair of my dad's braces(!), underneath longish shirts and jumpers (some borrowed from the men in my life) - I did make myself one posh dress for best though!

  • re the pregnancywear jediteacher, could you not turn your old maternity dresses into winterwear by putting long sleeved t shirts and thick tights and/or leggings under them?

Never mind "burning the midnight oil" - on this thread I think we "burn the midnight candles" judging by the amount of positive news coming up on here interspersed, of course, with the problems some of us are still having...

So - I think we are starting to accummulate a list of "who'd a thunk it?:D" - what with news like Sammy and Annie56 came up with for instance..

I think I'll just buy some shares in companies that make candles shall I?:D:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyways - anyone with any spare candles - am I allowed to put in a leetle request for one for me? - I'll just say for things to work out to the good for me financially. Whilst we've got all this wave of positive thinking going on might as well "put in a marker":):rotfl:

So - .....exit stage west and wait for the next "Who'd a thunk it?" to come up on this thread:D
