Frank.... ? Was born early 70s tho
Well, quick update on Dad... They have decided to keep him in hospital over the weekend and are trying to get him a bed at one of the stroke rehab centres near to us so I am pleased about that. Haven't spoken to DSM yet but she sent me a text earlier to tell me.
Thanks again for everybody's support - it really means a lot :A

Delighted to hear your dad is getting the care he deserves Frugal. Now will you get yourself a glas of wine, or a cuppa and relax a bit tonight please?xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Awwwww you are all so lovely
Thank you - I will pour myself a large glass (or 3) of wine, put the heating up too to help me relax.. And I received a Lush order of lovely bubbly bath things so maybe I will have a long soak too. Children are with their Dad tonight so its a bit of a break, and then i'm working all day tomorrow but my boss is fab and he knows whats going on - we have a busy day which is good - I love my job so it will be a nice distraction... even tho I could happily spend the day in bed
Saying that, its really hard to relax in this dump of a house - can't wait to get it sorted when my friend comes sunday.0 -

You are so very welcome honey.:) Light a few candles in the bathroom, put a bit of music on, add the Lush goodies to the water, sit the large glass of wine on the corner of the bath and just......

Good news Frugal, let's hope he gets a bed and starts on the road to recovery soon xxx
Just a short moan from me! Men! I made a huuuuge apple crumble earlier - one that size normally produces six portions. We had our tea early so left a break before having the crumble, I asked hubby to dish it up and he used different bowls to normal, I thought the portions were a bit big but I wasn't sure - when I went out to the kitchen he'd used the whole thing!!!!! So I now feel very fat and cross about the cost - that was half a pack of butter! I know I shouldn't get worked up about it but I can't help it!

Gailey do you nkow the other mumwho has the baby clothes for you? if shes not a friend then it may seem odd. You never know there maybe some lovely stuff!
Had a very busy week and a big week for DS1, hes done his first after school club and finally went to a freinds house to play for an hour after work. he and DS2 hhavent been away from us, we have such large families but no one babysits. Which has meant the boys have had a little seperation anxiety, but he loved going to his friends and ben came here for tea and we have another friend coming next tuesday!
Ds2 has also had a big week, he went to the toilet for the first time in school and got a sticker!
Very cold here again today and weve been charged from the bank for going over the overdraft again so next week when OH gets paid were going back to drawing out cash once a week and when its gone its gone.
Take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -

frugal I'm glad that they are keeping your dad in over the weekend. Use this weekend as a chance to plan your actions next week and recharge your batteries.
Went to work first thing and then went home mod morning to find the central heating on heating an empty house. Have now discovered it's set to 17 degrees but on 24 hr setting . Need to find the instruction book and re set it for am and pm.
If anyone is interested aldi have timer plugs and energy meters in at the moment.
Off to watch children in need with the kids.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.
