Phew just caught up on all the posts. Thank you for the Sauerkraut recipe, definately going to give that a go, sounds lovely. Had a good money saving weekend, lots of Whoopsies, yay!! Got bread at Mr A yesterday 5p a loaf and it was Hovis!!! Bought a few loaves and gave them to friends and family, felt like Lady Bountiful lol! Opened up another bag of my home grown potatoes for Sunday Dinner. i get so excited, you wouldn't believe it, it feels like i am prospecting for gold!! Each sack has only yielded enough taties for a large family meal, tbh the compost price has cancelled any savings, but it's been fun. Will try in the ground next year i think. Got whoopsie salmon for tonights dinner 50p for two fillets and a fish casserole sauce to cook them in which cost 5p!! I am going to make banana cake later, using bananas that cost me 5p a bunch! Cheap, easy and delicious. I am so counting my blessings this week................. My niece was diagnosed with cancer 10 days ago, she had a hysterectomy last Monday, she is 18, a month younger than my own daughter. My sister also has a 15 year old son who has just finished treatment for Lymphoma, so both her babies soo poorly. My sister is an inspiration, she is so strong in unimaginable circumstances, i am in awe of her and humbled by her strengh. My niece wrote something on her facebook wall yesterday, it was in Greek, so i didn't understand it, but 9 people had indicated that they liked her comment. I wrote to her that even though i didn't understand it i liked it too as it must be good!! She then sent me a translation of what she had written 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger'! Such wise words fom such a brave young girl.... puts everything into perspective for me...0

Just wanted to say to Sammy Kaye that you guys have been together so long, it is so easy to forget to respect one another. Sounds like he's forgotten how to be respectful to you. But he is going through a lot too with his job and a new baby and probably wondering how he is going to cope financially too with the extra 'little mouth' to feed - as precious as she no doubtedly is!
If there is any way to get counselling on the NHS for you two or some other free way, then I would say go for it.
Of course you two may also just need some time away from the kids to re-connect why you two fell in love in the first place.
I wish you all the best, (((HUGS)))0 -
http://thecoupleconnection.net/ This may be useful Sammy Kaye xx0

Sending huge hugs and some virtual flowers sammy, making these sorts of decisions that affect not just you but the kids as well are so difficult, and as I posted a few weeks ago I am having difficulties too. From my perspective you need to be sure of what you want, then be willing to talk to Owen and make sure you are clear on what you want. I managed a week or so ago to sit down and fully talk through our problems and we are starting to work out a new way forward, not sure if that will be together or apart yet, its still early days.
It may be that you both need some time apart to make a decision of what you both want.
Good luck0 -
Just adding my voice in support of Sammy. Listen to as much advice as you need but only you can make the decision you need. Wishing you lots of luck. xx0

Sammy
Very sorry for your troubles. Do you think it possible he is fretting about the suspension and lashed out as a result? The fact he didn't do anything last week could be because he was depressed - but I accept it could also be because he is immature. You need to look after yourself and your children. If you do decide to split, would he go back to his Mum's? If so, that would be close enough for him still to see a lot of the children, wouldn't it?
Kidcat,
I wondered how you were getting on and was glad to see that you were still posting and sounding positive. Wherever your talks lead, I wish you all the bestIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
