Going to wear them properly later, hope they dont hurt! I look like I spend a fortune on clothes/shoes but most of them are from charity shops or are 70% off bargains:TI have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0 -

not been on for a while, hope everyone is ok, hugs to anyone that needs them
we are in for a tough month this month, we have gone overdrawn and DH got paid today and his wage is pretty much gone - the bill money has been moved to that account and the rest of his wage has gone on the overdraftso we literally have no money for food, apart from the £20 a week from tax credits that we will be getting
gonna do a check of everything we have in and see what meals i can make up but we desperately need milk and bread so will have to find some money from somewhere for thatso i might be asking for some help to make up weird and wonderful meals from what we have in

Car off to mechanic this morning, limped home last night with battery light on and dash lights dimming - expecting to replace alternator and possibly battery too!! And looking like it needs new bearings on one side too, so gonna be not cheap!!
Thankfully I managed to get myself to Sainsburys yesterday as store opened and get the two youngest the toys they had requested for Christmas - managed to get £90 of toys for £30 as I had some nectar points to spend too.Better still it was all very friendly and good natured - which I believe later was not the case. Really pleased as it means that the youngest only need a few bits and they are done for Christmas - leaving only the two eldest to sort. I have a list for DS12 and know what we are getting him so can start that next week, DD16 has not announced her list yet but today is deadline day - I told them both last week that all Christmas lists were to be complete by tonight or I was making my own!! Will order a few sets of earphones for her I think!!
Have decided on teachers gifts and kids friends gifts too, - all getting mugs with snowman soup in, so will pick up bits over next two weeks then get them all made up ready. Feeling ok about Christmas as I think I have made a good start - my friend announced yesterday (her husband is likely to lose his job any time due to govt cuts, deep in debt - but husband on good wage and she works too) that they have no money at all for christmas so are going to take either a loan or credit card to pay for it. I was horrified as they are not managing at the moment so how they think they can pay anything else I do not know. Last week she was worrying herself silly as they will be losing child benefit due to budget and he has to pay more for his pension now too - but now she is seriously considering more debt??
On an OS note - have finally located farmfoods - have never managed to find them since moving here, but found them by accident leaving sainsburys yesterdayso am off there later to stock up on bread, milk and sugar.
Also had energy bill through and its about a third cheaper than this time last year:j:j:j:j not letting on to anyone else though as that will be reason for them all to be putting heating on at any time again!! NOt so good - received phone bill today - have got £30 of calls to speaking clock - DS6 - has obviously taken to chatting to the clock!!! All at very odd hours - got to look into how to deal with that one. Still not dealt with the problems relating to the toilet seat yet!! Its like as quick as I deal with one of his issues another two or three rear up to bite me.0 -
Totally OT so I apologise in advance - but I've had a dreaded brown envelope through the post this morning from DWP for my daughter, and I'm worried sick....got butterflies in my stomach, the shakes...the whole thing
I wouldn't dream of opening her mail, and she's asleep at the moment as she/we have had a particularly awful 10-14 days, which has taken it's toll on all of us. The result being that she has slept almost solid for the past 48 hours and hasn't been up yet today - a combination of the stress and major low she's going through and the amount and strength of meds she's on.
Yesterday she rose briefly for a couple of hours at 7pm, so I could be sitting here all ruddy day not knowing what the letter contains.....but when are they ever good news?Aug11 £193.29/£240

Hippechiq. The letter is going to contain what it contains. Put it out of the way until she wakes up, make yourself a cup of beverage of your choice, have a biccie, and relax. Your day is going to pan out as it will, there is no point in being stressed about it until she's up and it is open. Have a hug too, because I think you are amazing. {{{}}} xIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
