lindy loo do you mean tj hugues for those animals?
not got b and m but mam has.
re slowcooker wnated one for agees but been overwhelmed by choice, size and brand.
the croc pot seems good anyone else got this one? does cost bit more but i guess its because its sual cook as it can be used as casserole dish too in normal oven like products that dual purpose.
I think mine is Morphy Richards. I needed a big one so its 6.5 ltr. This enables me to do lots of soup and casserole, (to freeze) or a whole chicken if need be. There are 4 in our house, so it really depends on number in household too. I know there is a slow cooker thread on here somewhere which is quite informative. When I bought my breadmaker I started a poll of which make was best and got loads of info, which helped me to pick. Really happy with my choice too. Fellow MSEs were so helpful. In the middle of difficulty lies oppurtunity0 -

Lego minifigures are £1.99 when they sell them as individual pieces, and some of these have figures and models AFAIK. I get a set for my boys' stockings, and another which I put away for my nephew who is now 3, they will be birthday/Christmas gifts when he's five.
ahaaaaaaa well thats great coz there is a co op within walking distance so thats perfect for me... hope they have papers left
Thankyou Jackie0 -

Hi gailey,
Unfortunately I think you do have to collect the toys on the day that the coupon is published in the paper, otherwise you can order them all together, but that involves buying the paper to collect the tokens and paying £8.99 p&p. More details in this thread:

I have been feeling a little more optimistic lately.
I know there's a lot of gloom and doom about, but consider the following.
The UK and most of the civilized world nearly had complete financial collapse in 2008 but we got through it.
Then we had the Emergency Budget and now the Spending Review and although things are tough they are not quite the scorched earth policy many were expecting.
Yes it will be bad over the coming years and some might argue we should have taken our medicine and allowed the banks to crash in '08. It does look to me like the Coalition are seriously trying to address the Deficit (though it looks like the Debt will hang over us for decades) and sovereign default seems to be looking less likely.
I'm no economist and I'm willing to hear alternative points of view, but it doesn't seem we're quite as doomed as it looked a few months ago...I do think we will have many years of austerity and hardship ahead, but I don't think we are going to 'do a Zimbabwe'....'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0 -
Gailey i have a slow cooker and once it starts getting cold outside its on almost everyday, i make casserole (beef one today) soup, bolognaise, rice pud, alsorts, its also a life saver if i have a busy day or feeling ropey, can just bung everything in and forget about it for the day, its lovely coming in after work to haouse filled with the smell of a lovely meal and all you have to do is dish it up, also costs pence to run, much more economical then the oven.
Lindy- my 2 kiddies have those animals with the bags inside that go in microwave, they are fab much safer than hot water bottles and stay warm for ages.0 -
I've found you all!
Hello.
I was on here a while ago but due to personal reasons I had to leave. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the lovely peeps on here who pm'd and gave me some lovely words of support.
I am feeling much better and life is still a struggle money wise but emotionally I am stronger. I was hoping to join back in with you lovely ladies and gentlemen.
Anyway, must check the slow cooker as it's on high and I need to turn it down. Cooking some left over chicken from yesterdays roast with gravy, courgette, mushrooms, cauliflower, carrots and peas.
Again Thank You everyone.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'
