  • That's such fab news Gailey :D
  • Hi icelandic queen :)

  • the lego from the paper is really good - boys using their pocket money to get it. Papers rubbish though! Tomorows and Thursdays lego have figures with them so its a bargain for 45p. They didnt get todays as it was a snowman and they want the figure one tomorrow more.

been town with boys for new fleece pjs, its freezing here today and they have noticed the drop in temperature. Its scooby doo day on boomerang so were sat watching that.

B&M finally had the fire station lego in, so me and OH managed to buy it without the boys seeing it. its not as big as the lego police station we bought from their but its the only one they had and the boys loved them when they walked past them - they got very excited as they have them on their christmas list.

Tj's have got these animals that you cuddle in bed for £3.99. Says you heat them in microwave for 90 seconds. Anyone got these? Think there any good? OH wont let the boys have hot water bottles.

Off to do the ironing, off to the dentist soo n for a filling - dentists idea not mine!

Gailey - great news on refund

Re the LEGO offer... is it only WHS that sells the Mirror then? If it is then it means petrol, parking daily for me :/
  • It says in the Daily Record its the Co-op Somerfield and Toysrus, Frugal. Gailey it is definitely worth the price. Lego minifigures are £1.99 when they sell them as individual pieces, and some of these have figures and models AFAIK. I get a set for my boys' stockings, and another which I put away for my nephew who is now 3, they will be birthday/Christmas gifts when he's five.

    OMG my lucks changing.

letter from inland revenue saying im owed money , payment to follow.
trying to decide how best to spend it as want to clear some debts, ensure we got enough put by for xmas, could do with new bedroom furniture as ours literally falling apart plus worried about expense of new double pram would need that brought and set up by march.

Been debating a croc pot for ages are they worth it? does every oser need a slowcooker? like fact cric can also go in oven on low heat.

Rang hubby he was equally exited hes waiting to hear from tax office about refund on travel so if thats comes through we can get rid of car of doom and excange it for something sensible.

Sunny but frosty here this morning everyone was bundled up warm.
Got lost trying to find swimming pool just small one attached to local primary.
daughter has intensive swim course half and hour each day this week, never had structured swimming lessons before and wnat her to learn, was so sweet to watch have tried to teach her myself but avoided pool recently as look like beached whale!
Its quite a distance will keep me fit.

Looked up lets groups south west last night.
I was right the bath one is very well set up and has website and trades in olivers but bit far from me the 2closes too me have no website so will ahve to email them and seem very small. most say they part of bristol interlets which made me wonder is it possible to trade one currency beets for another.
Most seem to be other side of city.

Im intrigued by this lego deal although hate the daily mirror and do i have to go whmsith daily as thats miles from me.
how much is it worth once you brough paper and paid postage?

Hubby decided to do diy last night now have huge hole in bathroom wall not amused he doesnt get just because he works for diy retailer hes very rubbish at it.

Off up high street this afternoon to pay cheque in might look co-op for reductions.

unsure what to cook tonight as really want freezer to go down.
its still full. made lovley sausage casserole last night for hubby got some leftover.

Might make mini quiches this week as everyone loves them but pastry takes a lot of butter.

If chickens still on offer will buy one and make pasties.

not been sick today so think I can manage some cooking.

Sort of space in kitchen are those pully things that hang saucepans off worth getting and safe?Have visions of getting knowcked out by a saucepan.

Hope everyone else is having good day.Im trying to be super positive and feel pressures off a little this month.

With regards to the slow cooker - I love mine! I find that if I have no time, it's a lifesaver! Anything from beef stew, pork chops in sauce to a big pot of lentil soup. I find cheap cuts of meat far more tasty/tender. I was never confident enough to leave the oven on, but have no issue going out with the SC left on. Though I brown the meat first, once thats done I can get on with other things. :)

  • Hi gailey glad you are not feeling sick today love and that is great news about the tax rebate. A smiley day for gailey:) Margaret x

  • Gailey you don't buy it you just give them the token out of the paper. You only pay if you send away for them, then they come with a wee cardboard storage bow and a "playmat".
