Or also how about contacting those airlines we know for sure fly to our destination, and contact the boss directly? Like Firewalker said, it's a great PR for these airlines.
Hmmmm does Mr Big know John Travolta? He's got his own plane
Clairewop - Sorry to hear about your DS. No excuse for a grown man punching the living daylights out of a kid.

Hi Everyone - from Kampala!
Ahh friends, I have missed you all. I did have a bit of a wobbly start to the trip which I think is to be expected when everything around you changes and all your support systems are missing. But I have got through it without completely melting down which is good. Every day I have challenged and pushed myself to do something more. The guest house manager Beatrice says she sees a change in me every day, which made me feel really good. I have had a wonderful welcome at the university, the same positive, open, 'can do' attitude from the Matrix.
I am really missing my partner so badly, all his funny ways. I didn't realise how much I rely on him as a big sounding board for all my thoughts and ideas. I was thinking about what some of you were all saying about Mr Big's challenges, that they make you understand the 'real' you a bit more. I feel completely the same, I thought I was an optimist, and actually I am always asserting problems over solutions, fear and anxiety over optimism and faith. I am glad to have found this out in such a positive place!
I am trying to be different in Kampala, grounded and positive but those voices in my brain are still running at lightening speeds and I am still a mix of anxious, stressed, self-conscious and eager :rotfl: What really disappointed me most is that the thing I am most negative about is myself, which is no good - as Firewalker says we are our own biggest assets. I have succeeded at every part of the process so far and yet I still obsess about the next bit of the research, thinking - how will I *ever* manage to do this? It is bound to end in failure! These thoughts are so second nature to me now that I have no idea where to start undoing them. Perhaps these are a set of changes that will take a long time. Thanks for thinking of me everyone, and to DT and hiphouse. Hiphouse if you know anyone in Kampala who owns a mobile phone repair shop....!
I have combined Groatie's quote with Hypno's affirmations "fear is only temporary.... fear is only temporary......"! So far it has been working. Sorry for getting so emotional on the new thread!
I'm so pleased to hear about the progress with the business.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
