Hi DedicatedDFW, I noticed that you offered to wring football clubs. Any chance we could convince a really big time footballer to support this one? Then the Airlines will come on as well.
MG, who was the footballer? Probably time to call him - it is for the greater good.

Listen guys, I have ideas buzzing around my head that I can't pin down. Lucas Radebe is currently in England promoting his book. He was captain of Leeds United and also captain of South Africa and has also done work for children's charities in South Africa. His former club was the Kaizer Chiefs who I believe are from Johannesburg (well Soweto). Don't you think he sounds like a person to get involved? Newsworthy and already involved with kids?
The group (popular beat combo) The Kaiser Chiefs were named after him, and are big football fans and might led their support to the campaign.

Wow shiny new thread,
MG - I am more than happy to ring a few of the football clubs and ask re. their shirts. Never done this before (I think I mentioned that before) but am more than happy to.
OliveOyl - fab username btw - kept meaning to say this before. I will ask at work about the shirts, now that we have the charity name and resistered number it should make it a bit easier. Many thanks for posting this info. and thank you for the opportunity to be a part of something which will be amazing.
claire - So sorry to hear about DS am glad the police have responded to you so quickly. I will be putting cash into my account tomorrow so I can finally pay for my ear-rings.I have not had such an expensive time since I don't know when and just had a quote of £400 for some more house repair work
bob - hope DD is feeling better soon
Lara - Good to hear from you. I worked away from home once although it was not for as long a time as you. Whilst I was there it felt like such a long time but once home I looked back and it had all passed quickly. The best thing I did was to get out as much as possible, so when I wasn't working I was socialising or taking in as much of the culture and sight-seeing opportunities as possible and I kept a journal of things I had achieved, wanted to achieve and how the experiences I had gave me a different perspective on things. Not sure if this is any help to you - I am sure you will make the most of this amazing time.
PA - welcome back - I think I have worked out who you are - it's been a long day lol.
