I was without TV for five years, when my Dad had had enough of not being able to have a conversation with me :o (TV is his life now ;) ) he got me and the kids one and a licence.
The news knocked me out every evening for MONTHS, it was at the time of the awful war in the former Yugoslavia and the pictures were so much more harrowing than the newspaper and radio reports had been - I cried buckets. -just to prepare you for when you return to watching the news ;)

(I'm more immune now :o but still am moved by the miners plight :) )

    Hi Everyone,

I have been very busy with work lately and weekend was taken up, in a nice way, with seeing family - been listing on e-bay and picking up some MS's to try and help cover cost of car repair :( Just had a quick read so sorry if I miss anyone off - Happy Birthday to those celebrating today :D

Claire - I *will* be paying you tomorrow via paypal :o so excited to be getting my ear-rings.

MG - I will PM you my e-mail address - now I've signed up to OU I really need to attend your course but I am fairly certain I am due in work that weekend so will need to wait until you're nearer me.

    Ok no probs :)

Good morning, have to go to the hospital today with Mum so will be missing most of the day.

Hope your Mum's hospital trip goes OK Claire. Following on from my posting your website on my FB the other day by the way, a friend messaged me this morning and said how nice your stuff was - she is now going to put the link on HER FB too! :D I suspect she might well buy some stuff too actually!

    Morning all

Hope you are all well today. I'm starting to get on top of all the work, although had another restless night last night. I've just got a really horrible email out of the way, but not looking forward to the replies that might come back from it. Also finding that a couple of people who I've recently started working with are very negative about everything - they're not entirely sympathetic to the fact that I'm newish to the job and my predecessor left next to no instructions or understandable filing!

Lara, glad some of your anxiety is fading! :T Well done indeed for asking for help - and for taking it! :T

Michelle - didn't realise you were in Rotherham! I'm in Sheffield - and round the corner from me we have a rather fabulous Country Market (affliliated to the WI, google Country Markets) every Saturday morning, which sells hand made cakes and crafts and things. They do quite a trade in cheery knitted kids' clothes :D

I'm sure there's probably one nearer to you, but if you fancy a mini trip over to Sheffield one Saturday morning for a cheap cup of tea and some fabulous cake, I'm more than happy to take you along so you can have a nosey at what's on offer and a chat to some of the people involved if you think you might fancy it in the future? :) No obligation (to me or the WI!) - and if you want to just come and have a nosey at what's going on to store up future possibilities without talking to anyone, that's fine too! :D PM me if you'd like to (it's every Saturday, but only open 9am-12, so you'd have to get up early!) xx

Ooh Daff, if that's the market I'm thinking of, we keep meaning to go! Have bought quite a few things from their stalls at farmers markets - amazing cakes!

Michelle, the blanket is amazing! You should definitely consider selling them - you could think about the Country Market, other markets, eBay, Etsy..?

Right, off to update my work webpages - we are launching a big 'campaign' today - quite exciting!

I have been lap top less for a week and have finally caught up. Wow!:j

I am still way behind you all and still need to do very babysteps but continue to feel positive and grateful.

Due to M.E I find I quite quickly get over whelmed by things, both good and bad, so don't feel I can contribute yet to Kits 4 Kids and other challenges.

Thanks Tescoqueen for the offer of the Secret am very excited about that.

Haven't felt really confident about asking the Universe for things for myself yet but have asked for other people and it's happened.:j:j
My neighbour was distraught as her cat had gone missing - a week later she was home.
Same neighbour was desperate for a bigger house that's become available(next door), she was 4th on list and stood no chance - she got the house last night!:j
I have been applying for jobs for 6 months and had a couple of rejection letters and nothing else. Had an interview on Monday which went well but it's very much the wrong job for me. The Universe is making me clarify what I want and what is important to me. Thank you.

Must go and do BIL's cleaning and earn some extra pennies - been on here 3 hours and not even dressed yet!

Wow Robsmum! Maybe you needed to hear that the universe can work before asking for yourself :) Fab news for your neighbour! And good on you for clarifying what you *really* want out of a job. Good luck!

Redsquirrel! Get yourself to the country market! My local one (which may well be the one you're thinking of!) is having a 'taste and talk' session on chocolate this week :D Not much talking - just lots of free samples of chocolatey things :D Now there's an incentive if ever there was one! :D We'll be there, so if you fancy it, PM me if you're going to come along and we can say hello! :j (or otherwise just turn up incognito and see if you can guess which one's me :rotfl:)

Good luck for your mum at the hospital today clare

    How's MG this morning?
