Funny that pokemon cards should come up. My brother has given me a huge pile to car-boot and another to work out if they are wort anything. Could any experts help me? Equally if you want them - am happy to sort something outside of eBay on the other forum :)

The venues I know well are very expensive (and charge per delegate) but there are some here http://www.workspacegroup.co.uk/london-meeting-events-space/#Central-London for £100 (or less) a day for the room. Alternatively, could any of your Theatre contacts come up with anything?
  • Sometimes Regus do good deals - but like Greyfox says - don't you know some one who can do you a deal in theatre land? x
  • Fantasia, thanks for that link to the cheap family recipes website - brilliant. And I absolutely agree with you re the tv's in kids' bedrooms - bedrooms are for sleeping. In my job, amongst other things I teach people about good sleep hygiene, and watching tv in bed is far too stimulating before going to sleep - for adults as well as children. And how can parents monitor what is being watched?

    Today's tada:

I've emptied my second sofa aka sorting station - all parcels wrapped, addressed and posted off, I just need to spend an hour or so finishing off some extra tidying up, mainly paperwork.

I must be getting somewhere with the big declutter as I was only able to fill one carrier for the charity shop. This is the first time that has happened, so all the sifting and sorting must be paying off.

This slow progress must sound quite trivial, but in the midst of a fairly demanding treatment regime, every step away from domestic entropy is a real victory!

I've been to events held here by the Association of Language Learning. Not sure how much it costs though.

Its Winky the House Elf's due date today, may I just ask everyone to spare a second to send her extra positive vibes, so she isnt hanging on to her little bundle for too much longer and that she gets the lovely, calm water birth that she has asked for.
    Thank you x
