Hi Clootie,
Am so looking forward to it too.
MG suggested 7.45 at hers, its in here a couple (maybe more of pages back). She had a birthday thing but said that would wound up by 7.30, so see you then.0 -
You may be talentless at handicrafts (although I am not sure I believe you :rotfl:) but you really are an amazing ideas person, capable of thinking outside of the box and one of the biggest cheerleaders on this thread.
For that, I thank you
Aww, how lovely are both you and Bitsy (sorry cant get the hang of the multi-quote thingy). I just logged in and I find this, you both made my day. Thankyou x:o:):D0 -

Yep - lets hope it really is love rather than just being a brood mare.fantasia322 wrote: »Aww, how lovely are both you and Bitsy (sorry cant get the hang of the multi-quote thingy). I just logged in and I find this, you both made my day. Thankyou x:o:):D
My pleasureOh and multiquote is tick the pink speech bubble for every post you want to quote and it picks them all up when you click on "reply".
Took my wares to a toddler group. Stayed for the back to back sessions (but only had to pay once - bless Colin and Michelle they have been fantastic to me today :T:T) made £14 at the first session and sold nowt at the second.
So I have finally put my wares out there - I was sooooo nervous but one lovely mum said she'd would have paid 95p for the reindeer food and how cheap my items were  And yet judging by the other mums no one wanted a jot. Horses for courses anyway. Going to same toddler group Thurs afternoon (in a different area IYSWIM) to sell again and I'm trying to book a table top for a sunday in Dec. I was this close <> to chickening out but I sucked up the fear and did it anyway. Dunno what I was worried about:rotfl:
MG - hope poorly throat is better soon x
Boddy - still thinking of your, hope you're doing OK.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

Bitsy, dont know if you have a printer but have you though about running off some posters about what you are selling, stick em up in the local Newsagents, school noticeboards, community centre, doctor surgery, anywhere where there is a community noticeboard. Just trying to brainstorm ways to get you 'out there & noticed@ IFYSWIM0 -

Bitsy Beans - did the mums know you were going to be there - in all possibilty they didn't have any cash to spend with them - I know I never used to take anything with me when my children were small as then i couldn't be tempted into stopping at the shops on the way home. If I knew someone would be there selling stuff though, I would alwyas take some cash to buy something - flyers, posters etc are a great idea for the playgroups to give out beforehand0

Just finished rejigging my core seminar with a couple of the mentors. So have added back in some stuff that was previoulsy removed (everyone on Leeds event will get some MM emails in the next couple of days with some additional bits n pieces)
Now settled on teaching three Memory Systems:
Link system - good for creating order in stuff you need to remember
Body List System - for creating short term memory hooks
Route System - for creating long term memories for stuff you learn
Instead of just showing some Mind Map examples I am creating a brand new series of hand drawn Mapplications (applications of Mind Maps)
1. For studying from books or written text
2. Studying from a speaker / lecturer
3. Time Management / planning
4. Foreign Languages
5. Planning a project
6. Planning an essay or presentation
7. Organising a meeting - including dividing up responsibilites
8. Studying Science
9. Studying Literature
10 TA-DA lists
Does any smart person out there see anything else that I should include in this list? Feeling a little Bleurgh! on the anti-b's and not firing on all cylinders IYSWIM?

Also was toying with the idea of teaching an entire book from a mind-map in 5 minutes to prove how powerful they are as teaching / memory aids in their own right.
Or would that cause your brain to implode?
