I'd love to but I'm absolutely talentless when it comes to this kind of thing. I can crochet fairly well but thats about it.
Ooooh and i made a papier mache piggy bank when I was 7 :rotfl:

You may be talentless at handicrafts (although I am not sure I believe you :rotfl:) but you really are an amazing ideas person, capable of thinking outside of the box and one of the biggest cheerleaders on this thread.

For that, I thank you :D

    And me too :D

I feel a virtual group hug coming on :rotfl:

MG - Sorry to hear about the tonsilitis :( I know it can be pretty miserable. I have a few Morrisons Vouchers - can you PM me to let me know where I should send them?

GQ/Souk/Claire - You all seem to have had a very productive day, well done you :)

Bitsy - Your "makes" are as good as any on Etsy or Folksy! The more outlets you can find the better :D

MollyMunchkin - Great to see you are spreading your wings too!

It seems a few people have lost special Mums this year and I do remember the feelings well (My Mum died just over four years ago). The "firsts" really are tough and I have to say I struggled with the "seconds" too. I was sad that I couldn't look back and say last year we did..... I hope you can all look back at the happy times, they help to get you through the sad moments too ;)

Positive thoughts to those that need them :D

What a lovely post Matymoo! :j

MG, poor you :( I too feel like I'm swallowing razor blades today :( Late night, managed fine at work, but the 2.5 hour journey home entirely finished me off, and I fell asleep for 2 hours as soon as I got in the door. Woke up ten mins ago and dragged myself to bed with the laptop - and I'll be asleep again in another ten mins :D

Mr Daffs and friend having band practice in the kitchen, so nice soothing harp/guitar music floating through the ceiling :j Hope you get a similar luxury, if not, I'll have a little snooze for you too :D (see how generous I am?? :rotfl:) xx

You need to contact craft folk, the council are expensive

Thanks Claire, I'll look into that.

Get well soon, MG. You need to take care of yourself. Have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

Oh dear Cheery, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly too :( Get well soon ;) My Mum always said she could tell if we were really poorly or trying to skive off school - If we were ill we would just want to sleep.

Oooh, love the idea of the soothing music on tap, lucky you :D

Sorry to hear about the tonsilitis MG & Daff, but don't come near me, even virtually, as I seem to catch it faster anyone else I know. ;) *Wards off with a cross and garlic*

Other than that, I have a shirt to get rid of for Kits for Kids and nobody to give it to! Now that we have hit the collection stage, can someone - ANYONE - give me an address I can post it to, even if it's a collection person's house, who can then bring it to the main collection, if that makes any sense? (PM, of course). It's brand new and everthing!

Sorry if that sounds like a moan, but I'm just trying to get rid of everything I no longer need and it's one less thing to worry about. :)

Hope you are all well and looking forward to the Manchester workshop. That is, if MG can speak by then. ;) (If not, we can just chat at her and she'll just have to sit there and nod at any nonsense we talk at her! :rotfl:)

A huge TADA from last night to report. The builders finally came round and I now have a fireplace and a replastered wall. The gas man is booked to come on Friday so I should have a gas fire like normal people before the christening on Sunday! Although I'll have to wait until the plaster has dried before I can decorate.

Another tada is that I finally got the cake trapped in a corner of the kitchen last night and managed to fling the icing over it. It doesn't look as good as I'd like (the sides are a bit patchwork) but with judiciously placed ribbon and decorations no one will be able to see.
