Claire, I've emailed the organisers to apply to have a stand at the Big Cheese. Thanks for mentioning this, I've never heard of it before and it's not too far from me. I'm going to be brave and venture out and do bigger fairs next year :j

did you email craft folk or the council?

  • Wow, that's great that phone calls are being made and tax codes (hopefully) sorted, stalls booked, websites designed...

And here's my tada - and a very happy me:

*The two pretty IKEA boxes are empty and no longer sitting at the lhs of my coffee table reproaching me
*All the contents are sorted and re-housed in logical places
*The shredder has been red hot and the shreddings are in the recycle box
*Logged on to reclaim money from npower gas - £52 - yay!
*Written to close down 3 redundant savings accounts, approx £13 in total to come back to me
*Went into town to return something and had a cuppa Earl Grey in M&S (well I am on annual leave today so a wee treat was in order!)
*Two full carrier bags to the local charity shop
*Best of all - I'm SO excited - booked a nice day for when my 2 daughters are over from NZ in February and negotiated a wee deal! The day itself will be fab but the absolute best will be seeing them and having them all to myself for 2 whole days! I can hardly wait.

The declutter continues but I'm pleased with progress today. The Matrix magic is very motivating!

I'm going to give myself the evening off, a bath and curl up with a good book will be bliss.

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Already going to make some dog treat bags. A lovely poster on the Xmas craft thread has kindly shared her bag topper with us all :D

As for the sock monkey........erm confession time I am absolutely RUBBISH at sewing, knitting and anything that involves a needle and thread :o:o My mum once tried to teach me to knit but being left handed I found her way caggy handed for me (and I am ambidexterous  - last real sewing I did was my badges for my brownie uniform - I stiched the sleeve to the skirt part of the dress :o :rotfl::rotfl:
I think fantastia harbours secrets desires to run a craft stall :) x

    I made a sock monkey the other day - it's fun... :) there's a website (sockmonkey.co.uk) which sells them for $50! For 2 socks!!!!

Hey all, Had a lovely first day of hols.

    TADA list:

    Went for a swim
Paid a very talented lady for two lovely necklaces by bank transfer
Had a coffee date with a silver fox!!!
Cleaned the bathroom, mopped floors, hoovered
    Sorted out make up box
    Done some washing
Found a wee fish shop and bought some trout

Tonight I'm out with friends for drinks which will be fun. Going to do the trout tonight and tomorrow with Nigellas lemon and rocket cous cous. My ice box can be temeramental and I'd rather have it fresh.

Bitsy go for it with your stuff and remember YES YOU CAN! X
