The same dress three nights in a row  and as for the shoes... well, I have to have REALLY high heels with the trousers, but I can't wear them two days in a row (I have a black pair and a pink pair with lilac pompoms, everything else is too low for them)... so I've got to work out the best combination between black satin, black and white, purple suede (already packed) red, and the two really high pairs... and that's before I work on the evening/casual stuff.

OH has just texted to say I left my long black cardigan at his, and he'll pack it with his stuff, so that's one less thing to worry about!

I've just worked my way through the ironing (only two kingsize duvet covers to do, and they can wait till I get back from travelling). It would have been so much easier if I'd done it as it was generated rather than letting it build up.

OK... back to the packing - I can't go to bed until its done, as my bed is covered in stuff ;) I've put my suit jacket and skirt, a pair of purple shoes, a cardigan, vest top, tights and knickers in my hand luggage so that if my hold luggage goes awol I can cope. Need to remember to put the most important toiletries (shampoo and conditioner and face wipes), make up and jewellery in as well as my laptop etc.

I don't do travelling light either, it is always a pair of shoes per outfit :rotfl:

You have probably thought of it already but just watch the toiletries in the hand baggage are small ones - my daft sister got hers confiscated :(

Less than 100ml... the bottle has to be less than 100ml size too... if it's a big bottle with a tiny bit of liquid in it will still get confiscated.

Gosh greenbee, it's a whole different world listening to your packing list! :rotfl: I'm afraid I'd be in one outfit and one pair of shoes all week - they'd be lucky if they got a clean top or different cardigan! :rotfl:

Just to bring the conversation back to bras again... Debenhams is on my Fiends List as well as M&S now  Had good experiences in there before, but was wearing 32FF (ancient and saggy), measured in John Lewis as 34F (put on some weight :o), then Debenhams measured me as 36E. Fine (although not convinced), tried on a bra, and fitter insisted that it fit, even after I pointed out the back rode up when I lifted my arms, the front wasn't quite meeting *my* front, there was too much room in the cups, and when I even so much as *walked* I bounced around all over the place like a jelly!

The response? 'well, they're supposed to do that'

Needless to say, I shan't be going back there again, for anything!

(finally ended up in John Lewis - tried on a couple, and ended up back in a 32FF (only less old and saggy than mine :rotfl:) which is what I suspected all along. I only went to get measured in an actual shop to save the bother of faffing around ordering on the internet, and of taking loads of things into the changing room, which is what happened anyway.

To sum up - I came home with no bra at all (well, apart from the original one! :rotfl:), rather angry at Debenhams, more impressed with the nice people in John Lewis (and feeling, yet again, ever so slightly like I must be *weird*) :o
  • One of life's mysteries suki! :rotfl: Perhaps say to yourself 'I'll read the Secret for 15 minutes after I've done 15 minutes towards my challenges'?

I was one of the people who wrote about timing activities I think - it was me who timed hanging the washing up and it took me less than 3 minutes! :rotfl: I haven't moaned about it since, I reckon I can manage 3 minutes without moaning :D (even though in reality I could *moan* about hanging the washing up for *much* longer than 3 minutes!) :rotfl: :D

Don't beat yourself up about what you haven't done - make a plan, split your challenges into mini tasks, then every time you read the secret for 15 minutes, put it down and go and do one of them! :j

Thanks for this Cheery. I remember your 'washing' post now. It's amazing how insignificant these things really are when you break them down.
And you're right of course about the reward strategy. I've got the whole day tomorrow to try and put it into practice. You never know. I might even end up with a TADA list like some of the others I've seen in the last few days!!

I have a 1 litre bag packed with an amazing amount of stuff under 100ml... every time I get inspected they're impressed with how much stuff I can fit in :D I don't need so much this time as its a short flight, but although I'm fine with hotel shower gel & soap, I like to take my own shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hand cream, cleanser, moisturiser etc.

I'm on stage for an hour every day, and in meetings from 9.30-6, then socialising with clients and sponsors in the evenings, so I need to feel clean as much as anything else! And earlier this year one of my colleagues was presenting and someone tweeted during the presentation about what she was wearing (not complimentary) which everyone thought was unfair, but it did support my point that women have a tougher time than men at these conferences!

Anyway... big suitcase is packed (this is actually hand luggage size for long haul, so it isn't exactly huge... I just need to work out tomorrow which small case to take. I might even measure them all, as I have a feeling that if OH is travelling light and the big bag is smaller than I think, then I might be able to persuade him to take my laptop bag so I can have my case and my handbag as hand luggage...

I can't wait till all this travel is over :o Off to have a bath now, then bed. I have to try to get up early to finish packing and clear up before my cab gets here at 10!

You might need to teach me how to do that!! :rotfl:
