As part of my 50 day plan, decluttering figures heavily, so today I've decided that 10 bags of stuff will leave this house, either to the dump, bin, charity shop or else where.
Anyone care to join me, 10 bags of whatever size to be out of your house forever.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

How fabulous - lots of positivity on this thread today!! :T:T:T
Fantastic news, MG - you couldn't have wished for a better outcome.
All these lovely TA DA lists make my day seem very unproductive in comparison!!
Cleaned and tidied kitchen
Took three bags of books to the charity shop.
Collected scrip
Shopped from butcher and farm shop
Did online Tesco order
Cooked baked potatoes stuffed with cheese, parsley, bacon and onion for lunch
I want to cut out the fabric for kitchen curtains this afternoon.
I'm feeling a bit spaced out at the decision to operate on my back. I have been slowly and painfully dragging myself round over the last few months while trying several less drastic treatments that haven't worked. Now I have combined feelings of relief that a solution may be not that far away and apprehension about the process.
Hope the weekend continues in this positive way

I'm also stewing apples (I can't keep up with the windfalls), and working on the garden.
One bed I was going to plant has been dug over, and I think I'm going to leave it a bit longer before planting as there are still large lumps of clay in it (we took a lot of the topsoil off the other day as it was too full, so I've redug it with sand and some plant food that was lying around getting in the way)
I've done a little planting in another bed, but not as much as I would have liked, as a neighbour came round for a gossip. Need to get a more on and get the rest of the outside stuff done in the next hour so I can shower before going to the fireworks.
Most of the washing is done. Hopefully the bits I need for work will be dry in time to be packed tonight :cool:0 -
Just been having a mooch around the boards & wondered if we should post something about kit for kids on here:

2 huge binbags gone.
One half a bin full in recycling filled so I'll count that as another bag.
Off to hand out carrier bags to family members and ask them to fill them with stuff no longer required.
So 3 down, 7 to go.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Had a day of manic cooking - turning all the odds and sods into lovely stuff. - and giving the fridge a darn good clear out
So far
Loaf of raisin bread (new Halogen oven is here)
Roasted a butternut squash (do us 2 weeks of risotto)
Made quorn and kidney bean chilli (for dinner tonight then 6 lunch portions)
Brisket is in the slowcooker for tomorrows dinner
A litre of yogurt is in the maker
I've chopped half a cabbage, a swede, a bag of carrots, 2 leeks and 2 onions and frozen them in "Pot of Soup" portions. So take out of freezer, throw in the pressure cooker and cook for 5 minutes, blitz and eat. Cooked 2 bags, frozen ten more. Nice if you thrown in split peas, broth mix, potato etc to make stick to ribs lunch.
Got all the makings for a rice pudding - so will throw that in the slow cooker tonight when we go to see the fireworks so that we have got a treat to come home to.
Still compiling my notes from this mornings coaching call - absolutely stunning two hours!!!!!! Will post it on the matrix though cos it is something you all need to have access to - so give me some time to draw my thoughts together.
I'm all excited about the business again:j

OK MG PM coming your way
Well done Bitsy - it's the right answer0 -
You don't need a yoghurt maker to do yoghurt, but it probably makes the job easier. At a push all you need is a thermos flask.
