Well done EH on getting your first client and Cheery sounds like you had a positive day - I know that feeling of being back at school so well done for sticking with your idea :D
  • Instead of a "To Do" list of things to be done - you have a TADA!!!! list of everything you have achieved - much more satisfying ;)
  • Just a quick post, to prove that I still exist and am not just lurking...

Congrats to everyone for whom things are coming together and for the rest of us, I'm sure it will come (this much positivity and success must be catching...)

My work colleague sent out the K4K details to the Water Aid fantasy football league but I haven't heard from anyone yet so no progress on that.

Work pressures came to a head with my DH telling me I had to let my boss know enough was enough or he was taking me to doctor's to get signed off with stress. So I had a chat with her and we have finally been given some extra help (we've been a person down in a three person team for nearly 6 weeks now and spending every day at work in tears due to the pressure wasn't how I wanted to be spending my time).

Monday (Samhain) was my new year so here's to a successful year with all the support here and over at the Matrix Forum - though I have yet to post there.

I am still determined to get another job but November is NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org) so writing is my focus at the moment. Currently at 8589 words since 1 November (target for today was 8335)...

    Back to the wordcount...

    Positive thoughts for all

Ooh thanks for that Aleks I might have a go next year!

Well done on the job offer Cheery:T Will it still mean the long commute? Or will you think about moving?

Well it's Saturday morning and I'm feeling pretty positive for a fun filled action packed day of achieving useful things. When I say fun filled I mean things like going to the tip so that might be a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean. A Tada Day in fact.

I've already been downstairs in my dressing gown and put a load of washing on, a load in the tumble dryer, the bread maker on and baked a batch of pasty cases for mini quiche before taking my tea back to bed so a good start.

Time now for clothes on & action!

Thanks for all the congratulations folks :D I must confess I'm still having trouble believing I deserve it, and not feeling guilty about just being offered it without applying :o

I won't be moving - and have been very clear all along that I won't be travelling to York more than 3 days week :T :T They're happy for me to work at home the other two :D and even to do slightly shorter days on the days I *do* commute, so I can get home at 6pm rather than 7pm, which will make all the difference (I'll work a little extra the days I'm at home).

Just goes to show the benefits of working out what's acceptable/works for you and being upfront about it! :T :T I could easily have committed myself to going in 5 days cos I thought I had to, then ending up exhausted, resentful, and either off with stress, or having to leave my job, but now I won't! And I'm sooooo lucky that my employers feel the same way :T :T

    OMG!!!!!!!!!!

HT and HTH have decided that they are going to walk away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like we will very quickly be runinng our own school - like from Monday.

The Chair gave them a Hobsons Choice I think- walk or we take a vote of no confidence (which obviously would not be good for future teaching prospects)

Its actually hapenned - my dream, my fondest wish, my biggest goal has actually manifested itself. DS1 can stay at school - DS2 will also have such a great opportunity.

Got a feeling we are going to be in a huge hole financially - but money problems can be solved can't they? The systemic management issue has been resolved - now its just the nitty gritty.

Off to have a bubble in the bathroom - cos I don't want to be weeping down the phone to whatever mentor calls at 10.30. Then need to give DS1 the good, no brilliant news.

Thanks for all your support whilst I have had the week from hell.

    That's great news MG :D

I'm sure that you can recruit a good manager or replacement head, and with a recruitment campaign for more pupils (possibly letting those parents who removed their children know about the changes...) I'm sure the financial difficulties will be overcome.

Are the ex-HTs children going to be staying??
  • Excellent news MG.
I am sure you will draw strength from knowing more clearly what you dealing with now. Hasn't your week from hell now turned into a TADA moment?
  • Brilliant news MG! So glad you have got rid of the biggest obstacle :D
Onwards and upwards for the school from now on I'm sure! :j
