MG - where are you - I have to work now & I need updates....
And all the 50 day challenges make me want to add more to mine but I won't - except for 1 -
Challenge 7 is to sort 50 things in my house that bug me - & I started yesterday - DH underwear boxes were found a home & put away. Hust a wee thing but it really bugged me.
And I weighed myself this morning as I forgot to yesterday and all I can say is :eek::eek:
But in 50 days I will be 1 stone lighter.
Also, in helping to lose weight I'm only going to drink 1 night a week so last night I was energised & did the ironing & scrubbed 2 rugs that needed done as well as 2 loads of washings.
OMG - I'M TURNING INTO A STEPFORD WIFE :eek::eek:
So now I need to work....Debts 07/12/2021

Bitsy - sorry to hear this! Its whats going on for you, please don't apologise. When something like that happens, I think what might take you forward is to check out the goals you set for yourself - I wonder if they were the right ones at this stage of things for you? No idea what they were, so I hope this doesn't sound "off" ... but it *does* sound like you got a very firm message from the universe :kisses3:
se - thanks for those links! One day, I'll use them - there's an alcove where some shelves could go, and it'd be ideal for my craft stuff. In neat boxes, obviously2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Well day one of the 50 Challenge and I am broken
Pelvic joint giving me jip yesterday (must have slept funny on it) and went to bed last night and due to kids woke up couple of hours later in agony, can't move properly. Very limited range of movement, can't lift my left leg properly to walk, let alone drive.
So Universe if this is your message it's a pretty carp one
Sorry I know it's a negative post which we don't really do but needed to tell the Universe I am not impressed.
Sorry you're having such a painful time. You're not on your own, though. I've been having a really horrid time with my back recently and yesterday was not a good day. Feel I, too, have lost my oomph and need to give myself a good talking to about the power of positivity!!
It's not so easy when everything you do hurts..... However today's a new day - onwards and upwards!!!!!

Hi
Se999 - thank you so much for posting those links, some really good ideas there like the knitted cards and decorations. :j I actually went into a wool shop and found some beautiful wool and decided it would make a lovely jumper. This was several months ago and I didn't buy it as I asked to see the patterns and the lady got a folder out and I found one I liked - only to discover they don't sell the patterns - they were there just to give peeple ideas. To be fair, the lady managing the shop thought it was terrible that they didn't sell patterns too. So I challenged myself to use up the wool I have first, which is all bits for scarves etc.
Bitsy, susan, Souk - hope you are all feeling better soon.
Oh Clootiesmum - could I ask you for some more information about approved food please? Is it just a site where anyone could order food from or do you have to be a member or place a minimum order etc.

Dedicated DFW I really like the forum/free knitting patterns of Ravelry.com
You can even enter the type and quantity of the wool you have and not only will they show you suitable patterns, but also photo's and details of other peoples projects using that wool.
(I always filter by "free patterns" cos I'm so tight :rotfl:)0 -
Okay - I have skim read a bit of the thread and am intrigued. Where do I find out what exactly the Matrix is?
And are you still looking for football kit? I may be able to pull in a favour from my brother - he's a semi-pro and might be able to get his hands on some kit if I ask nicely...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

DDFW - You should investigate the knitted blanket squares, you can get some amazing mixtures of colours and textures, I treated myself to this book ready for restarting knitting:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0715322354/ref=rdr_ext_sb_ti_hist_1#noop
You can decide to make only pastels, rainbow/technicolour or any blend you like, either plain or textured. You don't have to make big blankets, you can make one's as presents for friends babies cots, or use the squares to make cushions instead.
There are lots of ideas for squares on the internet too.0 -

Your post isn't off in the slightest - I appreicate straight talking
My challenge was to lose 1 stone before Xmas and to fit more exercise into my week. Perhaps I should have been a bit more specific about what exercise - I hurt my back when I was in my early 20's and it's left me with a weakness ever since. I really should do more yoga as certain exercises can upset my lumbar region.
So Universe if you thought I was going on a mad "Shred" type exercise regime think again. I am going to do more Yoga and exercises to strengthen my back. I shall have the posture and grace of a swan<said sitting here with an ice pack in my groin which I have to say has helped the pain/mobility a bit> :rotfl:
Susan - I feel for you re bad backs. So uncomfortable - not sure what your particular problem is but if it's down to general imflammation then ice will help, it's what my old Osteopath recommended and it's helped everytime.
Souk - OUCH! Hope your poor bladder and boobies are feeling better by tomorrow for your swim.
Lucifa - Hmm not sure if I am qualified to explain - not an official member of the Matrix just post on this thread. My understanding is it a group of like minded people who've joined together to form the Matrix and they share ideas and positivity and any particular skill sets that a member might need? I apologise if I've got that wrongI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
DDFW, it may be worth asking in charity shops for patterns too. The one where i volunteer has 2 or 3 large folders full of patterns under the counter, that we sell for 10p each.
