What language are you studying? I would really like to be able to speak another language fliently.
I knew as I hit 'submit' that someone would ask.
So why am I concerned about answering???
For the same reason that very few people know. It's my retirement and my money so why do I think it matters what other people think of how I am spending it?
OK
What language am I starting to study? Ancient Greek
Why? To help me with my OU MA in Classical Studies
And what is more I have already successfully completed the first year (in spite of some tutor support problems)
So why do I still have a problem talking about it? Why do I still think I might have to admit I failed?
(bet you wish you hadn't asked)

I am seriously impressed - it has been a long time since someone or something pleased me so much as hearing that you are studying Ancient Greek to support an MA in Classical Studies. This is the type of knowledge that helps us transcend cultural domains and civilisations. Knowledge is valuable because it makes us cultured not only because it makes us rich.
Admirable 50 days aim!

That's fantastic! I did the OU Classical Greek course a few years back and found it fascinating but tough going.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I was going to do A Level classical civilisations, for no other reason than that I really fancied it...
Settled on tax instead. Wonder if I made the wrong choice0
