Greenbee... I've checked with DT, and am now checking with you ... can I please join in your quiet conversation about research work? I love researching - genealogy, websites, you name it - and I'm good at presenting too. Never even thought of it as a job for me, but something clicked today, when you were describing the skillset .....Greenbee - I want to come with you - spent 2 days in Hong Kong when travelling and wished I stayed longer xxx
However, i'm about to shower and change and then brave a taxi ride to the star ferry terminal to meet my cousinI should have gone for a swim, but didn't get round to it. Maybe in the morning if I'm not too tired...
DT - great news on Reading... do they need any more information about it? Can we sneak in any publicity for MG and Claire by mentioning how we're raising the funds for the shipping? We may see more traffic to the FB group as a result, so maybe putting regular updates on the discussions and having them posted as Kits for Kids status would be a good idea? So a status update saying 'Thank you to Reading FC' or similar might be good)
Better go... hope you all have successful days!0 -

Used to work in business admin before I had my children, but thatwas 29 years ago, and the advances since then are massive.0 -

Its hard when the launch of a new business is the consuming thing in your world - but I will try to remember the rules.
Look at the time 11.30 - and already my world has been tumbled upside down, I've had my panic and I've come out fighting again.
I've seen the times when the news like I had this morning would have sent me into a tailspin that I wouldn't be able to climb out of for days - so "most of the morning" is not too bad is it?
Basically it looks the the HT is working towards NOT opening the school that my boys attend after Christmas. The board has "cheesed" off most of the parents and the repeated requests not to have her husband around the visiting parents has resulted in total recruitment in the last 8 weeks of 1 child. (thats out of a total of 12 children and the common reason seems to be - love the school, but who is the weird guy???)
Of course I can't recommend the school to my contacts for exactly the same reason (if you remember me posting the story earlier), so my choices are either:
1. Take DS and home-school (not practical if I'm back working)
2. Take DS and put him in one of the local primary schools.
3. Relocate to where there is a Montessor School - London or Sweden?
4. Take the bull by the horns, acquire the school, keep the teachers, remove the HT husband from the equation and make sure that our conversion rate is better than 8%. Which would certaily take care of my next 50 day challenge - :rotfl::rotfl:
Al of this whilst building my own business - so I think it would eventually come down to finding the right people to do it.
What's your thoughts??

PS on the good news side the local dental hospital has agreed to fit veneers on my four front teeth (trainee dentists) FOR FREE!!!! - so should have a gorgeous smile to go with my new look wardrobe soon.
Never quiet in MG world is it?

I've just had a pm from someone I think from Mse towers.
Hi clairewop,

Please can you stop doing this or we may have to remove your posting privileges.

You can put pics of what you have made on the Matrix forum0 -
OO or anybody else who is FB savvy I have posted about Reading FC donating the shirts but all the posts automatically go on the the just for kids and others wall page not on the Kits for Kids wall and I think people are going to miss stuff if we ask people to link to the kids for kids page we need one wall not two don't you think?

My thoughts are option 4. Or brainstorm an option 5?! :rotfl::eek:"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
MG - I home schooled my 2 from ages 7/8 to 13, it's surprising what's practical. Working can be fitted in too. It very much depends on how you'd want to home school, and what you'd want as the end result. It can also depend on how strong the local home educator groups are, as to what's available, but with them if everyone joins in and organises 1 or 2 things then there's lots to do. Also there's no reason as far as I can tell for not getting together and sharing the home schooling.0
