Hi everyone... this is my first ever post on this forum, although I have actually been hanging around MSE and especially DFW for a few years now. Decided it’s finally time to be brave and say hello to you all and mainly really just wanted to step out of lurkdom to say thanks to everyone for such an inspirational thread!
Memory Girl - I read your original 71p and 3 nappies thread and always wondered how you were doing so was great to see your new Make Do and Mend thread and amazing to see what it has now grown into!!
As I said I’ve been reading these forums for ages now, but sometime last year I decided to be brave and actually join in and even considered starting my own diary, so I registered....and wasn’t brave enough to go any further. Oh dear....that’s quite pathetic isn’t it?
So here I am finally posting. Thanks so much to everyone for all the positivity and inspiration on here!
I would love to join in with a 50 day challenge too if that’s ok?

I think a number of us lurked working out how everything worked before we registered.
I think I should have a go at the 50 day as well.

Mike - how big do your stencils need to be? Have previously made some for theatre lights from the inside of a flattened beer can which cut v. easily with a craft knife... although did use quite a few blades and they were only 5" squares.

PS I'm thinking of setting myself a 50 day challenge - a short sharp push and then off for Christmas. Say from 1st November to the 20th of December?? What do you think?

Great minds think alike. I thought about 60 day until end of year but 50 is so much rounder - I like.

Must go work now - will catch up @ lunchtime as have remembered netbook today.
Would 50 day challenge move to Matrix? I'm a bit confuzzled as to what might & what might not move....

Definitely up for the 50-day challenge - mine will be to completely de-clutter the house(drawers, wardrobes, cupboards - everywhere)in time for Christmas.

I'm already visualising waking up on Christmas morning to a wonderful, warm, welcoming restful house, Christmas lights twinkling away, and the joy of knowing that everything I see and know to be in the house is something that is useful, I love and cherish, or both.

Now that feeling is all the motivation I need to go for it - so the challenge is on!

Just a pity that the two I love and cherish the most, my daughters, won't be there but they are coming over from NZ in February so we will have a mega celebration then!
