Help! What is universe trying to tell me? My dream home that I was going to move to this Friday has been sold. I am starting a new job on Monday 100 miles away and don't have house to move to. Thank goodness I didn't hire that van yesterday.

Hands up for the 50 day challenge. I am another that wants a lot by Christmas and I *WILL* achieve even if I am dragging OH and DD kicking and screaming :D

Marru - that sounds stressful. Take a deep breath and let us know what you need - will try to help.

  • Marru So sorry to hear that. Not the best timing, but hopefully it will still all come together for you.

I am still having trouble logging onto the matrix forum this morning. I load the page. The sign in box appears. I put in my details, the box then disappears only to immediately reappear with nothing written in it. The page loading bar at the bottom looks like it is doing something, but it is not loading up.

Anyone else having this? Or is it just me not doing something right. I can't faff too much as my DS is wanting to play on cbeebies and he is just leaning all over me while i am trying to get it working. Sign to me that i need to do some housework?

ETA - and i am so up for a 50 day challenge. I set myself too many challenges last time, and it didn't really work. The only thing i really did anything of was declutter and do some jobs in the house. I did have the idea of starting the knitting business though, so i need to spend the next 50 days practicing and making things, ready for launching in the new year.

    Hi Guys

Bit of a mad couple of days, Hubby has gone at very short notice to Holland as his 80 year old Father is ill, I've been told by Midwife/ Hospital to take it easy/rest as I have mild Pre-eclampsia, so I have been "Baby sat" by my 12 yo neice and 9 yo Nephew! Well they can use the phone and make me a cuppa!

LOL at the drugs in labour stuff, I am hoping to use the birth pool, and keeps as mobile as possible, but I know I am a wuss and will end up screaming for the drugs insted! Thats why I am keeping my birth plan as loose as possible, so I don't feel like I've lost control over it (slightly screwy way of looking at it but if its too prescriptive and doesn't happen I WILL get upset) but I am asking the universe for a fabulously easy delivery!

MG Thanks for asking if there is anything I need. Nope! I am enjoying a feeling of contentment that is unparrelled at the moment. Yes in the future this will change, but I am so happy at the moment. I have still completed the exercises from Mr Big, but they have re-inforced those happy emotions!

Personally I have had a few rough years (Infertility &IVF/Relationship/Job-Redundancy/House/Family illness/ Deaths etc you name it if it could it would go wrong) but this year has been one of the best of my life and I think I appreciate it all the more for having hit rock bottom before.

Since starting reading this thread I asked the universe to help me welcome my LO into a house that is warm, organised, clutterfree and full of laughter and love. I looked at what need to be done and I needed better access to the loft, kitchen cupbord space changing and a pantry... Minor building work was needed, but all is now nearly completed! (I was the person who posted about doors appearing in walls!) As well as the nursery being done without going crazy money wise(mostly ebay/carboot/hand-me downs) I realised the Warmth laughter and love was already here!

Love the idea of pulling together a conversion tool for skills for those returning to work. I have ran CV workshops before for people who are looking at coming back after a long gap, or who have never worked as part of placement schemes we used to do at the Bank. Some skills are very transferable, but we often take for granted things we do on a day-to-day basis. I will promise to put in 15 mins a day until I can knock something together to share. (Unfortunately I am on Mat leave/bed rest at the moment, so can't access work stuff but can start something new)

Crikey! didn't mean for this to be such a long post- See you have unleashed a monster in me!
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

In situations like this we've ended up using travelodges, otherwise see if you can get a holiday cottage at a decent rate, it isn't exactly holiday weather, so quite often you can get a good deal for a longer stay, especially as they normally get away without the weekly clean, and just drop off fresh bedlinen etc..

What part of the midlands are you looking at?
  • What's happened Marru - were you renting the house? Didn't you have a contract. You poor thing - can anyone help with somewhere to stay for a few days? (I would but Plymouth isn't that local to the Midlands x)

I applied to rent this house and everything was ok - met the landlord, passed the credit check (how - I don't know) but he had found a buyer for the house instead.

Near junction 4 off from M42

I am now looking houses that are available and found one, BF is calling the agent as I type.

Also I noticed that one house that I have already seen is still available (they are asking too much rent). What I liked about the house that I applied for was that I can take all my books with me and then sell them at my leasure instead of having to flog them off and get nothing back. And this house is very very small and definitely don't have the space for them. No - I don't want to pay for storing the books as I don't think I will get that money back when I sell them.

Also it could be that the sale will fall through but by that time I definitely need to live somewhere.

Marru - It's worth seeing if they'll negotiate on the rent on the one that's too expensive, if it's empty at the moment it's earning them nothing. Are the current credit checks/references with the same letting agency? So you can move quickly.

The places I know would be too far from there, and awful commutes it would be slow crawls to and from work.
