Righto!!!! Long and rambling Memorygirl post ahead -YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.!!!:D

WHATS THE PROBLEM? Facts only no emotion

    I need to raise

£1000 to ship the football kits to SA
£3200 to get rid of the Big Horse Bank

I need to play my mentors rules

    1. It has to be a WIN-WIN for everyone involved (so no robbing banks)

    2. I can use the people of the Matrix, their connections and stuff we already have

    3. I'm not allowed to ask anyone to pay for it directly

    4. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN BY TUESDAY

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

OK - I think have the glimmers of a plan that satisfies all his criteria (if we are all happy to contribute 15 minutes)

    THE EXPLANATION

I was recently asked to gather ALL of the random books together and do a stock-take. So I now know exactly how many I have ( I even braved the spiders in the loft to find them all)

They have been selling in ones and two's ever since.

So heres my thought - we have a stock of books, we have an automated payment system set up ........................ and you guys made me increase the price of the book and sort out the P & P rate. So the books are now selling at £14.99 instead of £11.11.

    Wth me so far?

Now what if I was to donate the "price increase" to funding the shipping of the football strips?

So for each book sold - the fund would be boosted by £3.00. Thats a WIN for Olive and the kids.

So to make the £1K target we would need to sell 334 books by Tuesday night!!!

    IS THIS A REASONABLE PROPOSITION????

Well I have already sold to 151 people - so even if only the people who have already bought a book play along we are looking at them connecting us with say 2 people to buy a book in the next 5 days.

I could make a concerted effort to get my head around Tweeting to get us out tomore people too.

To make it a WIN - WIN for the people buying we could make it so that 1 in 10 people who buy receive their book for free.

    So:

    Sell 334+ books by Tuesday

Olive receives £1k towards her freight charges (and when we manage to find someone to ship them for free I am pretty sure Olive can do something amazing for the kids with £1000 in South Africa.)

One person in ten receives a book for free.

I finally get the monster that is the Big Horse Bank off my back and can start a new life in the new year with my boys.

    OOOOOPppsss - phones ringing

What do you think? Is it worth drafting a short email explaining that we are raising funds to ship the strips that peple can cut n paste to their email contacts?

Great plan MG - and reminded me I've been meaning to buy a book, so I just have! Will pass on the details too - think a quick email to send out is a good idea.

Claire - what if you did a promotion on a specific design of earrings with a higher price, but the extra margin goes to Kits for Kids too? Hopefully it would generate more traffic through your website too - and you could linke your FB group to the Kits for Kids one... in fact, MGs books and your earrings could be promoted throught he Kits for Kids group

Could someone draft an email once the solution is finalised? That way I can hopefully send something out before I leave :)

Also, MG, will you be putting an update on your website explaining that a donation is made to kits for kids for every copy sold?

Football earrings or football kit earrings might be good?
