Draft email.... please feel free to edit at will!
Hi there everyone. I have a favour to ask of you...you will be helping two of my favourite things at the moment; Elaine, who is a friend of mine and a remarkable woman, and kids in a South African Orphanage who love football and football shirts. Here are the two websites... http://www.elainecolliar.com and http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kits-for-Kids/120253084700023?v=wall for more information.
Please consider purchasing one of the books available. Not only will it give you LOADS of skills, applicable to study and the working world, it will also help us to ship out football shirts and football kits to South Africa for the Kits for Kids scheme. There are people collecting from every corner of the UK, so there are a lot of strips to be sent to South Africa. Elaine is willing to donate £3 from every book sold to the shipping fund...and we need the funds by Tuesday! I appreciate this is a big ask, but we are trying to put a smile on 10,000 faces by Christmas Day. Can you help us manage this?
Any help is gratefully received! If you want any more information, please contact me!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
There is always the radical and long term solution to this kind of problems - setting up the Matrix fund. We can work out finer rules later but for now we could say that anybody in the matrix with a product will think of a promotion a percentage of which will go to the fund for transporting the kits. Whathttp://www.elainecolliar.com/ proportion we can discuss but will have to be left to the people involved.
The rest will help by promoting the products.
As to the fund I have been thinking for sometime that we can have something alsong the lines of: PSB + 10% = no play; anything earned over that by Martrix members we can agree to self-tax (2% for instance) and contribute to the Matrix fund. This will be used to support new businesses (micro finance) as well as for loans to members in trouble.
Junt an idea - not even semi baked yet.

I don't have anything to offer in this particular situation
I was thinking the same but then I wondered if people could Donate a Cup of Coffee/Tea - it may not be appropiate but I'm sure that there are probably some people who may treat themselves to a cup of coffee out and about over the weekend. If they do maybe they could forgo it this weekend donate the same amount to the fund...2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
MG have emailed you an idea for marketing in Scotland.
GQ xoxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Firewalker,
What does this mean?
PSB + 10% = no play
Thanks

So Claire's doing a Kits for Kids offer too... I admit I don't have anything to offer in this particular situation other than buying from you all or passing on information, but does anyone else have anything they could do this for. Hopefully the link to Kits for Kids would generate website traffic and increase general sales - viral marketing at its best
Me neitherbut I am more than happy to send an email out and link the sites to my facebook page (if someone can tell me how
)

To link on your facebook site - go to facebook and in your status just paste the link http://www.elainecolliar.com - it then comes up with the link box with Elaines website you can then click through to decide which thumbnail (picture) you want shown next to it. Then just chage your status to what ever you want it to say and then click Share.
Then you can do the same for Kits for Kids
Hopefully that makes sense.
ETA Its also FREE LISTING this weekend on EBAY just incase anyone wants to seel some items and donate a % to Kits for Kids.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Right... I have sent an email to all my contacts, and I have linked MGs site to my facebook page as well. I just hope it works!
If it does work MG, you might be getting book orders from Canada, the USA and Mexico!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
