I've got 2 hours to come up with a WIN-WIN solution to
"Pay for OliveOyl to get the strips to SA without paying for it yourself (I would if I could Hon:D)
You can use anything you currently have - and the people in your Matrix and who they can connect you to - but you are not allowed to ask someone else to pay for it directly.
Come up wth a strategy that will pay OliveOyls airfreight - Oh! and whilst you are at it - gather the last of the money to pay off the bank.
I want this strategy to be immediate - in fact challenge you to have the moey collected by Tuesday evening for a very important coaching call"
:eek::eek::eek::eek:
OK I know I am being dim - because a challenge like this means that the Mentors are seeing something that is right in front of my eyes - only I can't see it yet.
Off to swish n swipe and seek inspiration in the botom of a cat litter tray

I dont know if this is allowed but I am going to suggest it anyway.
By my reckoning, investment is whats needed and I'm no business woman. There are 108 in the Matrix and we all invested say £30, that would take care of the bank or there abouts, I would'nt have a problem doing this for MG. If this is a cheeky suggestion I apologise in advance, but this thread and the people in it are a constant source of support, help and suggestions, plus positivity which is liberating.
I'm not a marketing person or a guru or an anything in particular but I have a huge heart and I really can't think of anything else that would generate enough cash to help.
Again if I've offended anyone with suggesting this, I apologise,
I've been hovering over the 'submit reply' button for half an hour, so here goes.0 -

The mentor only said MG wasn't allowed to ask directly. Doesn't mean we can't offer.
If I knew it helped a friend out of a spot, and would be repaid (back to the "fund" at a future date to help someone else, I'd be happy to contribute - I mean, who knows when I might need a handx

Just wondered if a credit union could be a means of cooperative financing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_union
I've not used one, but it sounds like it could be a means of a regulated Matrix saving scheme for those who can input, and cheap loans for those needing them.
Another thing on the cooperative front is LETS schemes where people use vouchers/tokens as a form of currency, they are normally organised on a local basis, but maybe the Matrix would comply:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_Exchange_Trading_Systems
It sounds like these probably would need to be seperate to 'kit for kids' which if more than a 'one off' might need professional advice as to the legalities of charities.
Just trying to throw some more ideas into the mix0 -
Ok I'm on it then, football themed earrings
and once the money is raised for the shipping and left over can go to olive to buy other stuff??
I will only take the cost of the beads and the time it takes to make the earrings, the profit will go to kits for kids.
*goes off to find better beads*Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

Thats exactly what i thought, it x'd my mind last night but was wary of posting it in case it was against the rules (MSE) then when I caught up wit MG's posts this morning, it just seemed like the way to go. Surely Mr B can't object to that.
I just have so little experience with business, credit unions and stuff like that I wasn't sure how to put it.
And it is an investment, in the Matrix IFSWIM.
I'm just a little clumsy when it comes to expressing it correctly hence 'my apologies in advance' comment.;)x0 -

He does have a point I suppose. We have a teenage daughter and an almost teenage son, and we tell them not to talk to strangers etc
That said, I have met a few people off DFW, and they have gone on to become some of my closest friends.
He just worries so i wouldnt want to upset him, especially when we've got a week off together
Thread posts, emails and PMs are the way forward !!Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Fantasia that's exactly what I was going to suggest, only you beat me to it on posting because I was hoovering the stairs!!
If MG needs to fund the air freight and clear the bank that's over £4K by Tuesday, £40 or so from each matrix member seems to be the only way, in return what would everyone get? A share of the profits in MemoryGirl Inc? A percentage of book sales?0 -
For me, the satisfaction of helping someone would be enough and well worth the investment.
Someone with a bit more business savvy than me needs to have a look at the idea with the pro's & con's etc., etc., and see if something can be worked out, with the agreement of the Matrix and MG herself, of course,
Divide and conquer and united we stand and all that.
i'm way to emotional wit stuff to be practical which is why I suggest that someone with the know-how has a decco0
