Come up wth a strategy that will pay OliveOyls airfreight - Oh! and whilst you are at it - gather the last of the money to pay off the bank.

OK I know I am being dim - because a challenge like this means that the Mentors are seeing something that is right in front of my eyes - only I can't see it yet.

Mg - maybe we could approach some of the premier league teams to make a donation to help with freight costs ?

  • ARRRRRRRRRRRGH. My computer hates me this morning. Not only has it booted me out of Excel when I was working on a massive spreadsheet... it has gone and lost all of my work that i have done this morning. Even though I regularly saved it.:mad::mad::mad: If I EVER meet Mr Bill Gates, I will be having a very long one-sided conversation with him about the virtues and lack thereof of Microsoft Office software.:mad::mad::mad:

However... it will not take me long to get the information back, and who knows, perhaps this time it will be better than before! :D

Have a tonne of work to do this morning, so I can't stop long. I am feeling very inspired by the bursts of 15 minutes' on the thread and will be applying liberally when I eventually get home. Following the minor flood earlier in the week and the fact I have not been feeling 100% the house has taken a turn for the worse. Again. I do not have a sofa, I have cat fur cushions. And my knicker drawer is looking very depleted not having done any laundry for a few days. Really need to get my routines back in action at home.

MG - how about you follow up the mail re a football sponsor to get THEM to pay the shipping costs and splash their support all over the place? It was in a post a short way back.

Right, off to do battle with Excel again. See you guys later!

Thats a good idea - but I'm supposed to play with his rules - which means not asking anyone directly to pay for it - 1 hour 25 minutes.

THink this is gong be a "three cup of coffee problem" - off to put the kettle on and bring some books downstairs for todays orders.

Two things I have been doing lately are picking up on my Philosophy studies, and getting some experience of mentoring and training/ teaching. I'd really love to combine the two - *goes off muttering something about the Universe* :D

    Do you know about this

And a book called Plato not Prozac by a guy called Kostoff (but have forgotten his first name).

  • Ok MG, I have friends visiting today and Sunday, then I'm back at work so I'll spend tomorrow doing as much as I can and get it sent back to you.

Hope you find the solution they have spotted.

    Glad you feel better Claire!

Hugs to those that need them, positive vibes to those that need them.

Hi all I'm in a bit of a quandary so I'm popping out from lerking for a bit of advice.

I work in a building where it's just me and the Chairman of the company I work for and another little company that the chairman helps out, the company I work for is in a seperate building (oh and you guys obviously :D)

Anyway the other company are going back to Poland next week for a week and I have offered to cover their phones while they are away and to email them the messages. Now I jokingly said 'I'll put an invoice in the post' and they have just handed me a cheque for £50. I tried to refuse it but they wouldn't take it back and now I don't know what to do. The money would really come in handy, especially as I'm off with my DD on half term next week and would love to treat her (she's 11 and never asks for anything as she knows moneys tight), but I'd feel really guilty if I do bank it.

    Any suggestions?

And I've just goggled !!!!!! as well

Bank it, donate half to charity and treat DD with other half?

EDIT: Donate half to the freight fund thingy for footy shirts?

I have to talk to clients until 11.30 but PM me your phone number and I'll call you once I've got rid of them - or if DT is on before then, talk to her about the contact we've got - sounds like they and the club concerned love the idea :D

OK so it's a bit like Challenge Anneka (showing my age now) where you ask for donated services and products rather than money ?
