I don`t think they will ever be published again, the BBC are trying to see to that.

That would be a pity. A few weeks of orgasmic frenzy will be denied by an indice that we all should accept is well wide of the mark.

After a sudden and massive drop off a cliff moment of -3.6%, the figures this month can only be up (a little) to make everyone feel better about getting into more debt again & allow the BBC to ramp it like a horse in the final furlong.
  • How interesting that after 33 pages ofbumping this thread, the tone is starting to turn in fear of the next months results ;)

I'd be surprised if it wasn't positive after a fall such as this one.

A negative after a fall of 3.6% in one single month....well, you'd never hear the end of it :D

+ 0.9% or sumut I'd guess. I've always been wrong though, so negative would be nice, just not expected :p

Market is reliant on confidence of buyers. Little else.

A further slip could see a major downward revision.
  • I predict + 0.8%

Be interesting to see how a positive is celebrated.
  • Oh it has to be a positive to help all of HBOS's interests eg their estate agencies etc. I would be very surprised if it was another negative. They have to paint a picture of a up-down market with nothing to fear if there are drops - and they hope people won't cotton on that overall there will be more drops than ups....

I'm going more for the fact that if it dropped say 1.4%, that would be a 5% drop in just 2 months. Don't think we even saw that kind of figure in crash times.

Up to a 1% rise would bring it back into line with other measures, and would still be a drop of 2.6% over 2 months.

If it drops over 1% though, I'm having a field day!

Presumably, not with nearly a month of bumping. Cant say I have ever celebrated any HPI release.
