Big article so pick your way through it
Although apprehensive it cant be any worse than the shower we have at the moment.
Debt to be gone and they have a good history of turning things round.
We will not be a Man City or Chelsea but if this goes through at least we can go back to being a proper club living within our means.
Also we can pass the spotlight to Manchester United.:D

"I am delighted that we have been able to successfully conclude the sale process which has been thorough and extensive," said Broughton.
"The Board decided to accept NESV's proposal on the basis that it best met the criteria we set out originally for a suitable new owner. NESV's philosophy is all about winning and they have fully demonstrated that at Red Sox.
"We've met them in Boston, London and Liverpool over several weeks and I am immensely impressed with what they have achieved and with their vision for Liverpool Football Club.
"By removing the burden of acquisition debt, this offer allows us to focus on investment in the team.
I am only disappointed that the owners have tried everything to prevent the deal from happening and that we need to go through legal proceedings in order to complete the sale
NESV currently owns a portfolio of companies including the Boston Red Sox, New England Sports Network, Fenway Sports Group and Rousch Fenway Racing.
They are partly owned by futures and foreign exchange trading advisor John W. Henry who has an estimated fortune of £540m.
NESV are thought to be offering about £300m for the club, enough to pay back the £240m of loans and £40m of fees owed to Royal Bank of Scotland, which must be settled at the end of next week.
However, this valuation falls well short of the £600m that Hicks and Gillett are thought to want for the club, hence their opposition.

I can understand the reticence of fans at accepting this deal - I'm sure they don't want more Americans - but one thing I do know is that Bostonians feel the same way about Fenway Park as Liverpuddlians do about the Kop. Hopefully the new owners will get it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hopefully we will get new owners, I can't believe H&G are being so stupid when they cant refinance. They stand to get nothing in a week or so (other than hate mail

I know, relatively speaking it makes Alan Sugar look like he was beloved during his time at Spurs. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Really2, were the club really given no money? I seem to recall supporters complaining about the lack of success being down to little investmant.
However looking at some of the money spent i cant quite understand the supporters arugement?
Alberto Aquilani - 17.1 million.
Robbie Keane - 19.3 million.
Glen Johnson - 17.5 million0 -
Liverpool sent a lot of money under benitez just that most of it was spent badly, over £200 million as far as i remember0

Just heard this on the radio
Man U have Man U TV.
Chelsea have Chelsea TV.
Liverpool have The History Channel.
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.0 -

They do have gate receipts, sponsership deals, tv rights etc..;)
They were purchased for £171M I belive with £44M debt (£215M)
So cleared the debt then refinanced the club and loaded £270M of debt on it.
I cant see how anyone could thing what they have done for the club?
If they did not have the debt to service they would be able to spend more on a quality squad. No one could argue against that, Man U know that now.0 -
Now, now stop trying to displace fears of a debt free Liverpool doing well everyone please.

I know all this banter is fear really.:D0
