Yes I have the house to sell too. And all her finances to sort out, thinking of paying someone to do it as I think it is too much for me to do. Not very MSE but maybe necessary.
I will have a careful think about it. There is another executor but he is 87 and it is clearly too much for him to do. He is very keen to pay someone to do it. DA did tell me to just get the solicitor to do it all.

Glad yesterday went well and DA had a good send off
Resting up sounds like a good idea to me, you've been through a lot lately
Employing a solicitor also sounds right to me

Granny, It isn't very MSE to use a solicitor but there are 22 different named persons and charities on DA's will with different amounts and % bequeathed  Not sure my head can sort it all out.
Actually I know I could do it but it would take over my life and I know for sure that DA didn't want that for me.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Let the solicitor do it it really isn't worth the hassle. Just take everything you have for any bank accounts including all bills etc like council tax and water so they can close all accounts on DA behalf.
They will put the house on the market and you could even after you have taken anything out of personal choice, get a clearance company to come and clear for you.Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

I didn't know they could put the house on the market too. :T
Most of the furniture was new last year so I am hoping to sell it. But maybe a house clearance company will pay well for it.
I can take anything out of the house I want and all I could think of yesterday was her clothes airer.Something very useful.

Today my family took me out for lunch which they paid for. I then had a gift of £10 to spend so I went to local charity shop and bought a wine glass with a measure marked on it so if I do have a glass of wine I can monitor how much I have for me diet. I also bought two handbags for DD for the two weddings we have coming up this year, two board books for DGD and a scarf for myself
I then went to local outdoor shop and bought a book of local walks for the holiday cottage.
Mr P came to meet me and we took library books on dementia back as we don't need them any more and I spent £18 in coop. Almost everything had a reduced price sticker. I bought some sliced sandwich meats and pork pies and sausage rolls which had today's use by date on them and have put them in the freezer for future use. Feeling pleased about my bargains today.
We used to shop weekly at 4ldi but haven't been there for a few weeks. The freezer is well stocked and we have a sack of potatoes from the market so can eat quite well for a while without shopping at 4ldi. Not travelling every day is giving us time to get back on track with MS and debt reductiion.
Mr P had a call about a job which he priced yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed as he hasn't worked for months. His mental health isn't good when he isn't working in the Winter so I have been making him use his SAD lamp. The dog likes it too.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
