Another NSD today but yesterday was a fuel spend day. We filled the car for £54. At least the fuel stations are cheaper in the city than here. I managed a whole day at the hospital without spending. I didn't think it was possible :)

We took DS3 to the airport, he is off back to South Atlantic for their Summer. We will see him again in April in America. Can't quite believe we are going there.

DS2 made us a lovely dinner and he even made me a SW version :)

The cottage is fully occupied until mid February so this Winter we can pay all the cottage bills. In fact it is paying for itself without us having to borrow from our personal account to supplement it :D It is a massive difference from last year.

Sorry to hear about DA Pooh. We are going through a similar thing with Mr Happy's mum, so I understand how emotionally exhausting it is.

Looks like the rest of your life is well and truly on the up though - about time too! x

We had a NSD today. It was our. First day without. Travelling for a while. The cottage required cleaning (DD does the cleaning) and Mr P had the usual chores to do with animals and recycling.

I made biscuits and DS1 mdedinner for us. A much needed catching up day. I received letters fron the coop to agree final payments for accounts with them. All have agreed now except LLTSB.:D

DS1 has had rejections of the offers he made to banks. We are going to sit down tomorrow night to work out I we can aFord to increase his offer. The daft thing is he has nothing to offer. We are trying to help him out.

    How's DA doing?

Last year was a terrible struggle. The cottage is definitely earning enough to pay it's own bills if you know what I mean.

DA is hanging on. The staff nurse had sent for the priest again today. We had a chat with a doctor today who basically said there is nothing they can do for her now and it is just a matter of time. Each day we are amazed she is still here.

£43 spent on petrol today. But cousin gave me £20 because we have been picking her up from her house and taking her to the hospital too each day. She slipped it in my pocket and then had to tell me as she thought I was going to drop it on the floor when I was taking something out :D

Then we had a meal at the pub as we were too tired/drained to cook tonight. :o £51 four main courses and drinks:eek:

  • I hope you enjoyed the meal though, it's nice to not have to clean & cook once in a while ;)

Your DA is reminding me of my grandad he held on for 2 weeks after they told us there was nothing they could do. He got to say goodbye to everyone in his own time and then went quite peacefully one night in his sleep. I hope the end is the same for your DA xx
