It is the fact that they will only sell whole cases of 12 that annoyed me. I foud some nice port that I thought I could give Mr P for Christmas but then I eeded another 11 bottles!

One thing I must do is to buy myself a new keyboard as still have missing 'n' key

Today I have spent £2.50. £1.50 on milk from PO and £1 at knit and natter. last night I wasn't so good. I bought a refurbished kindle fire for Mr P for Christmas. He is technophobic so not sure how he will take it.

I got the idea here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4774802

It cost just £75 :D And if he doesn't like it I can have it :p And I spent £5 on a cd for DS1 so he has something to open on Christmas day.

This morning I phoned lots of charities for DA to cancel her mail from them. I have more to do and want to finish them before Christmas so I know I have everything finished. Luckily all but two were national or 0845 numbers so we don't pay for calls.

I am watching Kirstie's Home made Christmas with the men. My turn to choose the programme :) I love the pompom maker :D

Lots happening here. The best news is that coop have accepted my offer for f and f payment. They don't want it until after Christmas so pressure off trying to do banking as well as everything else.

DA asked for an i pad for C'mas but I have heard from another relative that she wants to be able to read books so I have her the Kindle Fire to give her. Mr P will have to do without. He doesn't know I bought it so I will need to think of something else for him pretty quickly.

Today I went to get my nails done. :D Very impractical but |I felt like a treat :D

When I got home I have a HUGE bag of presents for me from a friend. Now wondering what she has bought and is my present to her good enough? I know she enjoys the hunt for pressies and loves giving but feeling a bit nervous about it.

A huge bit of pressure has been taken off us as a relative who lives nearer DA has eventually agreed to have her for Christmas lunch as she is allowed out for a couple of hours. Phew. It is a long way to go to collect her and she would be travelling longer than she would be here. Not good for her at all.

Happy Christmas to everyone. I hope you all have a great time and continue your money saving over the festive period.

We have been to see DA and taken her pressies to her. She was very naughty and peaked at them so I had to ask her to wait until tomorrow. :)

I spoke to the solicitor dealing with DA's affairs including power of attorney and feel a huge sense of relief. he says I can keep doing things to help DA so long as I don't sign on her behalf. If I am not happy about anything those who have POA do I am to tell him. He suggested relatives who live nearer to her so they can do her banking etc. He agrees I see her more than the rest but as Winter takes hold I could be snowed in for weeks.

We have a lost dog whose owners we are trying to locate, last seen here outside our house, lots of snow last time I looked outside, but everything is wrapped and ready for tomorrow so apart from the dog everything is under control.

We have all been to an early church service so it really feels like Christmas now.

Also DS2 had his first interview at job centre just 3 months after he first signed on. He did receive an interview for today at Walthamstow at noon. I suggested he asked for travelling expenses. :p Those of you who know roughly where we live will know why it is so ludicrous. :D
He has been very depressed but seemed quite upbeat after his interview.
