Pooh, things seems to be really looking up for you now. Good luck with the full and final settlement figures, I hope it all comes together for you
. Will you become completely debt-free? Even if not, you will be re-writing the debt-free date on your sig I am sure
.
I so VERY much envy you that new boiler - not that it would be any good to me because there's no gas where we live! But I remember how you struggled with the cold last winter and it's lovely to think you'll be all warm and cosy this year. Bring on the snow!
Lovely to hear DA is her old self again, in her brain at least. It's amazing how a UTI can affect the minds of older people. Mr Happy's mum was diagnosed with delirium (sounds like something from a Victorian workhouse!!) after getting her UTI and we seriously didn't think she would ever become rational again. Her hallucinations were incredible and so, so, SO bizarre. Then one morning the UTI cleared and she was just as sane as before. We couldn't believe it when we walked into the ward one morning and found her sat up in bed, doing the crossword like nothing had happened!

Things do still feel very strange. DS3 suggested we have a celebration meal out last night. I didn't want to but was persuaded by 3 sons. It was just local pub. DB was there but wouldn't join us. Now the extravagence is over and we will be back to normal frugal living if we are going to enjoy a trip to USA next year.
Happy I can pay off some debt but not all. I think my debt free day will stay the same. The Barclays and kitchen loans both have a lot of years left until paid off. I might be able to decrease term of kitchen loan which was 20 years!!!!! I started paying it in May 2011. We won't be asking for full and final settlements on those two. We will keep plodding.
The boiler is a wood pellet central heating stove. I am still working towards the cheapest option.
I am hoping to be able to change my signature soon but not straight away.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I think I need a plan for today. First is to sit down with Mr P and work out how much we need to set aside for the heating system. Then we can see how much is left for paying debts. We will be paying back relatives too.
Our day to day living expenses will not be changing at all. As all our unsecured debts were put on token payments last March. It will be a huge relief to be able to clear some of them.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Today has been a great day. I went out for lunch with my FM group. We had full Christmas lunch and it was all paid for again!! I am doing well for free Christmas lunches.
Then I bought a table wreath for £9.99> I am going crazy with the spends. The one we have had all our married life (29 years) was won in a raffle. It felt extremely extravagent.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
