I am still feeling relaxed. I can't quite believe how stressed I was before we went away.

Today we have had another electric car charging point fitted on the cottage. Free of course very:money:

So we now have each of the charging points so can have customers with all UK electric cars to stay here.:) I will let you know when we get our first ekectric car booking. It might be a while......

Mr P asked if the fitter could put us an electric socket on the front of the house and one was fitted too FOC :). We just had to pay for the cable from the business account. It will make lots of outdoor jobs easier having a socket outside.

I then went to the village craft fair with some cash from Mr P's pocket. I spent £3.50, £2 on a birthday card for DSIL and a cup of tea and some raffle tickets. It was difficult to try to get into Christmas present buying mode as we still have little spare cash and having my head in holiday mode still :p

2 x DSs are in bed after a night out in the city last night and DS2 has been jet washing the sandstone paving stones at the back of the cottage. It is amazing how much they have coloured in two and a half years. The ones in the North facing yard are really green. He has those to do tomorrow. We have at wo day break with no one staying in the cottage.

Tomorrow the other two sons will be continuing chipping out the mortar from between the stones in the hall wall. We can't have them doing it when there are people in the cottage as, though the wall isn't attached to the cottage, I imagine it could be quite noisy.

Mr P and I will go and see DA tomorrow, collect her laundry and check on the house and car. The dinner will have to be a slow cooked meal so it is ready for us in the evening. Tonight we are making a warming chilli.

I really must try to post something every day as it helps keep me on track.

Yesterday I went out for lunch with a small craft group which I recently joined on Monday mornings. I was very surprised to find that my lunch was partly paid for out of the group's funds. It actually cost me just £4 for main course and pudding.

It wasn't a NSD but was a low spend day.

In the evening I sat and went through our finances to make sure we are on track for next month. I suddenly panicked when I realised Mr P's pickup insurance was due. He went out to see why he hadn't been paid for his last job yet and I checked his business account. Much to my surprise I found that HMRC had put £645 into Mr P's account. I was able to give him the good news. It means we can pay his road tax and insurance is already paid.

So much for me posting every day. I looked after DGD every day last week. Then went off to see DA yesterday.

She is amazing, talking just like her old self but can't walk because she has been in bed for weeks.

My brother popped over from Warsaw as he was there for work. He lives in Melbourne, Australia. He drove me over to DA and we also went to visit DU and cousins. We had a lovely day and DD made dinner for us last night as it was DSIL's birthday.
DB2 bought some very expensive and yummy bottles of wine for last night too so it was a great evening

DB1 was unable to join us as he was ill yesterday.

Mr P still hasn't been paid. It seems as though this is the way of the world ATM.

We were told our inheritance from Step mother and Dad would go into our bank accounts last Friday but nothing appeared. good thing I hadn't already spent it!! :D In the old days I would have spent on CC with the idea that I would pay it off when money came in. Now not a penny is spent that we don't actually have in the account and that is not allocated to a D Debit due to go out.

I managed to spend nothing at all. Oh, and other DA gave me back the £10 I paid for DA's window cleaning.

I have managed a few more NSDs. Not counting them though.

The best news of all is that I have received my inheritance :j:j:j:j:j

It was in my bank this morning.

First on my list is to order a boiler so we can have central heating.

If I can get DSs 2 and 3 out of bed they can get on with the hall wall. It needs to be completed before the boiler goes in.

DB will have received his money too so the pressure is taken off him and maybe he can find somewhere warmer and drier to rent. I will still cook for him. Mr P takes plates of dinners to him. As I am cooking for 4 men one more doesn't really make a lot of difference. Usually it is once a week to make sure he has something healthy and substantial.

We have lots of plates missing and I just realised they are probably in his house :)

Wow, I just realised I have money to buy pressies for Christmas. I won't be silly though as I have plenty of debt to pay off first.

I have phoned payplan about our debts and how to go about paying them off. They have suggested I write to the organisations I owe money to and offer a full and final settlement.

They are emailing me the required information and wording I should use.

I haven't spent any money today but have been out to collect more shelving for the Food bank from another freegler. DS3 and I collected it and then delivered it to the food bank. It is looking very short on food ATM.

We have also ordered some plasterboard and sand and cement to finish off insulating the hall. It was on account so hasn't cost anything yet. DS2 has been chipping out between the stones ready for repointing. He is going to put up insulated plasterboard then we will get my young guys (ex pupils) to plaster.

I can't quite believe we can actually afford to complete renovations and insulation of the hall.
