Debt free in ten years-my new, more realistic challenge.

£93 spent in Aldi yesterday which I forgot about in yesterday's post. I added a few Christmas treats.
Last night I collected the food bank donations from the back of church. A woman nearby asked who they are for and I ssaid it was confidential. She then said that there is no one nearby who needs help from the food bank. No one in need at all in our town or neighbouring villages. I was shocked by her niavety. I then explained that we have needed help from a charity this year. Just so she can see that outward appearances can be misleading. I have asked her not to tell anyone but I would rather she knew and was willing to continue giving and encouraging others.
I have to admit I was shocKed by her attitude.
I then put the food bank food into my brand new car boot. She doesn't know it is a hire car for the weekI need to make sure the key holder gets the food today.

Yay firewood has been delivered AND we could pay for it:j:j:j
While we wait for the boiler etc to be installed we have enough firewood to keep us warm in the living room and we will have hot water.
Last Winter we had cheap soft wood which didn't manage to heat the water. What a difference it is making to us all. A warm living room and hot water feel like real luxuries nowWe are enjoying it.

We are still going to live a frugal lifestyle. Our monthly income just covers the essentials in life.
Today I am making Chinese chicken for dinner. It is a very old recipe from an old microwave cookbook we got almost 30 years ago. It is one of our favourites as it is really tasty.
It is also not too expensive to make though I have had to increase the amount we cook as there are 5 adults living here now.
Today is not a NSD as I paid £3341 off the Barclaycard to leave us with a nil balanceAnd I paid £360 to Capital One too. Phew to have some paid off.

Today I also wrote to all the organisations to whom DS1 owes money and made full and final payment offers. I am hoping to pay off all his debts with £1000. He can then move to the US without having the millstone of debt around his neck. He is working hard to pay everything off but needs a helping hand.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I am constantly in awe of you poohbear.
I don't know why? Just doing what needs to be done.
Going back to DA again today. She is being moved back to the second ward she was inBack to elderly mental health ward. I am hoping it means she can now walk with a frame.
I can't quite believe how far she has come. She was talking to me about her stay. She is amazed it is December as it was early September last thing she can remember.
We discovered we have a credit balance at Virgin wine, of £78.02 :j:j So I have ordered 12 bottles of wie for Christmas.
At the moment the Christmas day plan is we have all 5 of us plus DD, DSIL, DGD, DB, and two single friends both men. I am just relieved DD will be here or I would be here for Christmas with all men like last year. Nothing against men, just I missed having a female to chat toSorry if I am repeating myself
We still have nothing bought for most of the family for Christmas so need to do some shopping very soon.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
