Sorry to hear your sad news.. There is nothing anyone can do or say to help, but take comfort in knowing you did what you could, and somehow you will learn to live with the loss.0

Thank you everyone. Just had a strange day trying to do stuff but not really achieving much.
We went to DA's house yesterday to look for some rings she has left to some nieces. It seemed so wrong to be looking through her things but it is something we will get used to I guess.
I went in her house without taking off my shoes!! Wouldn't have been allowed
One thing I did do yesterday was to go back to the salon to have my sparkly Christmas nail varnish removed. It was on far too long and seemed very inappropriate in the hospital but no one complained.
Today I have paid a £450 deposit on some double glazed windows and French doors for the back of our house. It is about time we had double glazing. I have also paid off two more debtsbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

dfw i think the double glazing will be in early February, weather permitting.:D
I had a telephone message to tell me that the boiler was to be installed starting on Monday coming. I had to postpone it, after waiting two years for a new boilerOurs broke down in Jan 12.
We had DA's funeral yesterday and it was a good experience. Lots of family members took part in the service. I should have been sitting in the front row but DGD wanted me beside her. It gave me a different focus.
The church, which is an enormous one, was full to capacity. DA obviously had an impact on many lives. There was even a flag bearer from a charity she helps. They sent a representative from London. We had a buffet afterwards at the sports club of which she was president.
Later I took my cousins who live far away or abroad to DA's to choose a keepsake. Some had a small ornament or brooch.
I have been left the contents of the house plus a lovely ring.
I am going to have a week off. No travelling or visiting or sorting things out: maybe here but not at DA'sbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
