Awful day. Dgs trst woman made us feel so small and stupid. Wanted us to change our minds and take her back home with us. Questioned our motives. We gave the dog its best shot. It has been poorly but biting is not on. She said was should take her back and keep her in the kitchen etc, etc.
Luckily while I was so upset at both dog going and woman having a go at me Mr P put his foot down and said we were not taking the dog back home. She eventually accepted it after one and a half hours!!!!
I felt like one of my weights has been lifted. A few still to go.
TSB wrote today to say they accept our reduced payments towards CC for another 6 months
The cottage booking for Christmas was cancelled yesterday but a ovely MSEr has booked it at special MSE price. Happy all round.
DA has moved ward again!! Will we ever find her first time we look? No
Mr P and I spent £63 on petrol today and I spent £10.60 on lunch and £12 in 4ldi.
DS3 has paid his keep for the month which has helped our finances and meant we could have a little treat each. Mine was lunch for me and DD with my friends. DD used her car to take us out so lunch is her treat too.
Tomorrow I have a previous foster child now 24 coming to. Stay in cottage. His GF had a full term still born baby just two weeks ago so we are treating them to a night in cottage and Sunday lunch with all the family. I reckon I will be providing their tea tomorrow and breakfsst too. The least we can do for them. 2nd still born in our community in 6 months.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

So sorry to hear about the still birth. Horrendous. But lovely of you to treat them.
Very jealous of the lucky person who gets Christmas in the cottage!!
Glad you feel a weight has been lifted. Hope you slept well XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Plmbl, I think it puts it all in perspective. And I was upset about a ****** dog!
DS3 is going to collect the young couple as they don't drive. Then he has money to treat them to dinner tonight. He is a star.
Tomorrow another young man is coming over and they have offered to do some work in my hall that was damaged when we joined the houses together at the back. While that is happening DD and I and the young lady are making dinner for us and 6 men!
I have never met her and I thought cooking together might be a way to break the ice a bit. The two young men are like sons to me who come back when they need something
We were given an enormous leg of lamb by someone local who couldn't get it in their freezer! I bought some 49p Yorkshire puddings from4ldi. Actually I bought two bags to feed the hungry hoards tomorrow. I am hoping we have potatoes and kale and carrots in the allotment. I feel bad I haven't been for ages, possibly August was the last time I was there.
Hopefully this will be a NSD.
I think the tears yesterday were just an avalanche which had built up and the dog episode just caused me to teeter over the edge. Feeling a bit better today but have to face DFS soon who is bringing me the phots etc. It is true that there is always someone worse off than you.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

oh Pooh, i'm so sorry about the dog. I understand that dog trusts have too many dogs but that wasn't a nice thing for the lady there to do to you
big hugsxxxx My dog has never bitten anyone (touch wood he won't) but if he did I think I would have to do the same, especially with kids around. I'd never forgive myself if I left the dog in the house as the next bite may be far worse than a nip!
I hope your DA is ok whilst you are awayit sounds like she has picked up a little bit. I'm sorry to hear about your foster son's baby too
I'll never forget one of my friends who had a still born, we were due at the same time (When i was pg with ds1) we worked together, went out together shopping for baby stuff and her baby came early, only 2 weeks so we thought all was well but the baby was still born. I saw a picture and he was fully grown and beautiful so i've no idea what went wrong? I remember her asking me to visit with DS1 when he was born and I felt torn as I didn't want to upset her
was just awful her flat was full of baby things and no baby. I hope your FS and his GF get through this ok and go on to have another healthy baby soon xxxx

Re. Dogs Trust - ye, wasn't overly impressed with them myself when I started volunteering. Found the paid staff either ignored me or just arrogant. I'm surprised she was trying to convince u to keep the dog; they act like u need a PhD in canine behavioural science or something b4 u can even walk a dog as a volunteer. Also wasn't impressed with how much they waste; seem to take the public's support for granted. They say they never put a healthy dog down, but how many do they turn down from the pound (who r consequently put down) becos they don't fit in with their highly polished rotas?0

As it goes, we have similar baby-but-sadly-not-to-be situation in our family right now. Just hope a strength will come to see her thru it. It's not something that is given a great deal publicity generally (impression that 3 months and it's a done deal, etc), so really shocking when it was discovered it wouldn't be the case. xx0

Horrible to hear and so sorry for your DFS and his GF. Horrendous. jalestine is right it's not talked about often enough and is more common than you think.
Have a good day today...and..pooh..you absolutely did the right thing about the dog. I hate the fascist bullying tendencies of some of the people who are drawn to volunteer at this type of charity. Gives them a bad name to be sure. But you did the right thing. That dog needs a complete behavioural overhaul which with DA and all your other commitments is not another job you can take on..

Oh dearest Pooh what an appalling way yo treat you at dogs trust, so glad Mr P stepped in. You have so done the right thing, imagine if dear dog bit DGD, you'd be devastated.
Poor DFS and partner. Sadly I know by personal experience how heart breaking that can be and the pain really is immeasurable. My heart goes out to them and you x
Hope DAs move is a sign of improvement.
I'm glad you've got some treat money for you and DD
Take care my dear friend, you really do seem to have such a lot on your plate and amaze me with your upbeat attitude
