I just had a look for my aims for this year. Found the post and another £10poohbear59 wrote: »I also found £10 in MrMs saving stamps from earlier this year. I have them in case I manage to go to a Mr Ms anytime. usually only get there once or twice a year.
I forgot about these. They must be in my bag
I have put my debts in order of importance for paying off.
[STRIKE]Lamb £105[/STRIKE]
Electricity bill,£75 per fortnight until in credit
Barclays cc, transferred £450 to 0%
LLoydstsb cc, paid off £60
Santander cc,
Barclays kitchen loan
Barclays mortgage
DB
DA
DS3
If I can pay off one credit card completely this year I will be delighted. The loans/mortgages are all going down as I make sure I make those payments before anything else.
One very good point that I have noticed is that I only have about £500 to go before the total debt (minus mortgage) is under £60000
I will continue to refer back to here to remind me.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

family are being pretty good and booking and paying. Mr Ps family mostly but some of mine too. I need to plug it again on F4cebook. I have it listed on 3bay too.

After burying his head in the sand for the last God knows how many years Mr Pooh decided today to think about how to get out of this mess.
He wants me to ask a member of the family or a friend if they can lend us £10,000. Sadly he just doesn't get it that incurring more debt will just make it all a lot worse.
His ideas came after we received a garage bill for his old vehicle, which was scrapped in May. I have to take a deep breath before I write it down..... £1461.94:eek:
I think we need to sit down together and go through everything so that we don't make any rash decisions. And also I don't want to involve anyone else at this stage. Not until we have a proper think about things.
Something to do tomorrow thenbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Last night I went into the cottage for a long soak in the bath. We don't have hot water any more
It is a choice to save on electricity bills.
Just remembered that I never explained that I found my electricity leak. There were two of them. Mr P and DS1. DS1 had been putting the water heater on every evening for a bath after work. And Mr P had been putting it on for washing the pans. We have a dishwasher which goes on cheap rate every night
.Our consumption has gone down but DS1 wants to pay me £5 a bath to be allowed to have one after work each day. Mmmm? Need to think about that one.
Mr P and DS3 have gone off to collect the cheap firewood I found on £bay.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I suppose it's good that Mr Pooh has pulled his head out of the sand and is thinking about your situation. For some people (though not me!) sharing the burden makes it easier to handle. But you say he wants YOU to ask for the loan? Would you feel comfortable approaching friends or family about this? As you say, you have lots to talk about with him, but at least he is acknowledging the problems even if his solutions might not be ideal. Sorry to hear about the bill, that's awful.
We also don't heat our water. For years our immersion heater ran for 7 hours each night on Economy 7. What a waste! Our shower, dishwasher and washing machine all heat their own water so the only benefit we got was an occasional bath (we all prefer showers) and water to wash our hands/wipe surfaces. And it takes so long for the hot water to actually reach the taps that we'd finished our hand-wash/wipe down before the hot came through anyway. Nowadays I just run it for an hour or so a week on cleaning day.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Happy, I really feel sick about asking family and friends to lend us money. You are right that it is good to share problems sometimes but although Mr P now knows the exact situation him knowing hasn't made me feel any better.
You make me feel so much better knowing we are not the only ones who don't have hot water:D
Silly as it may sound it seems like one of the greatest regressions for us. We have wash basins in all the bedrooms from when the house was a guest house but it is too cold to wash there. It makes me feel like one of those re-enactment programmes where people go back to how people lived in 18th century etc.
Today we have hot water, it is like gold :rotfl: . We have all been so excited about it. This morning when the stove was lit I turned off the pump and allowed it to heat the water. Then when everyone was home this evening put on the pump to warm the house a bit. The new wood we bought on Friday is excellent and is actually warming the house. Our living room hasn't gone above 15oC for around three weeks until tonightWe are a cosy 18oC now
The best news is that I have sold three short breaks on 3bay. The money has gone straight into the business account tonight via p4ypal to pay the business mortgage tomorrow. Phew! I didn't think we would do it this month.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
