I am okay, still trying to keep warm. DS3's laptop has given up so he is using mine. He is working hard applying for jobs. Has a few companies who have asked for more details but then have said they will keep his CV on file. I am sure he will find something soon. I think it is a bit daunting going for his first job on a ship. He has needed a bit of help/encouragement to sell himself.
We are still juggling payments to cc and loans. I did a new snowball plan with personal debt and left out business debts and debts to family. Sadly cc debt has gone up to cover important items such as car repairs. We now have a clear plan for paying off debts, including the tax bill. Mr P keeps saying I shouldn't worry or even think about it as when he is back at work things will be paid off quickly. He says I think too much
I feel happier that we have a new plan to suit our current circumstances. And when things change we can rethink things. I, for the first time in 20 years, showed all details to Mr P, so he knows exactly where we stand. I don't want to depress him but wanted to give him more ownership of our finances.
We should have had a visit from the BGas renewable energy assessor yesterday. I found a scheme where they provide a heating system as part of a trial. They monitor useage as part of the deal. We would, if accepted, just have to pay labour charges. The assessor didn't make it yesterday because of the snow so we now have to wait for a new appointment. I will post on how we get on with them.
I also did more Green Deal research. We are with an electricity company who don't take part in it. And we definitely are not allowed to change copany until we have paid off our debt. I wish I had put money away when we moved to them. Our debt goes back to when we changed company and they wouldn't accept the amount I wanted to pay. They also lost dd forms and took over three months before they collected anything at all.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

CPP are a company who provide cover for card fraud etc. We didn't need it as it is provided by the bank.
We now have one warm room which is lovely. The hardwood we bought a couple of weeks ago is wonderful. And we have hot water :j:j:j DS3 is in the bath at this moment. Mr P turned off the heating pump and the wood stove heated the water really quickly.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

It is our wedding anniversary today. 29 years! We weren't going to celebrate as we spent the last of the money on petrol to go to a local town to buy a new light fitting for the holiday cottage. Poor old Mr pooh dropped it as he was changing a bulb. It cost us £15 in petrol and then about £20 for the light fitting. Luckily the same one was for sale so he only had to change the glass.
DD came around today to see if I fancied a trip to the baby play park with her. I have never been so it was an interesting trip. Our local town has more for young people to do outdoors than most housing estates. I was very impressed. She then came back here and transferred £50 to our account so we can go out for dinner tonight. We can pay her back tomorrow when our cheque has cleared.
Mr P and I are going to got for a walk around a tarn about 15 miles away and then a meal at a pub/inn nearbyDS's can have leftovers from yesterday. We had a friend and DB here for dinner yesterday, the friend brought a joint of beef and we already had lamb out of the freezer so It was a lovely meal for all. And we have lots of leftovers.
