My aunt is going to pay our electricity bill for us. I phoned her today to see how she is doing and got very upset when she was talking to me about how we are managing. She is putting a cheque into the post today. I will pay her back as soon as I am able to. I think it is the first time she has ever known me to be upset since I was a small child so she was quite shocked but really kind and understanding.

I am now researching cheaper electricity so we can change soon. If we have a smaller monthly payment it will mean we have a bit more available to repair things in the house or more for food and fuel. :D

I am pleased you have someone helping you too. It seems to be the way for such a lot of us at the moment. I am praying that things will improve for all of us soon.

This afternoon Mr P has been searching for a ring I lost outside the front door. We borrowed a metal detector and searched but all we have found are tiny pieces of rusty metal. It got us both outside for a while and the front garden has now been tidied too. :)

We still haven't found the ring. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

But we have good news that we have recived the cheque from my aunt. I will get it into the bank as soon as possible so we can pay the electricity bill. It means I can be more relaxed and maybe sleep a bit better.

Last night my two sons and Mr P went to the pub for a pint, then they came home without DS3. They said he had gone for a drive with someone from the village. He didn't call and |I waited up for him. He came in at 12.30am. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. He said he needed to talk to me. The two of them in the car drove about 3 miles before they had an accident: they hit a stone in the road then hit two stone walls and the car almost turned over. His friend's car is badly damaged.

He said he feels lucky to be alive. His only injury is a scrape and bruise on his shin. DS3 and his friend then went back to the pub and sat drinking until closing time because they were both so shaken up by the incident. DS3 didn't phone me to say where he was because he knew I would be worried! He is 22 but I still worry about him :D It is only 5 weeks since he was attacked and was saved by a bypasser. I am thinking he must have nine lives.

Other family news. DB's job finished today and DS2 finishes on 28th March so I will have three men looking for jobs again soon. Hopefully I will persuade them to sign on immediately so I don't have to try to suppport them both too.

Some good things that have happened today :) I had a manicure which was bought for me the Christmas before last, and lunch with a friend, and I made an appointment to have my hair coloured by the trainee at the local hairdressers. I just have to pay for the hair dye. The rest is free :D

Thank you Me. I was going to write exactly that. He does need to be wrapped in bubble wrap and not allowed out alone. :D
