Got the all clear at the hospital today :D I don't have to go back for another year.

We found a new Mr S next to the hospital so went there for shopping. DGD is definitely feeling better as she was very hungry and we had to stop at the cafe to feed her. We had some food too and it all came to £8ish and I paid to cover fuel costs for DD to take me to the hospital. I know it doesn't cover the full cost but I will find a way to pay her back soon.

I called in to the hairdressers on my way home and they have asked me to go and have my hair coloured tomorrow and they will use foils and make sure it doesn't touch my scalp. Or maybe use a different colour???

  • Sounds like a good day :). If you reacted to the hair colour you may need to try a different make. It is to do with a certain chemical - its not in blond dyes as its to do with the red/brown colours.

Hope you found something to get cashback on. I've claimed on 3 receipts for packs of hot cross buns - DH has an addiction to them. I'm sure he thinks he's a mystery shopper - MrS being the best :rotfl:

Still no hair colour:( Maybe I am meant to go natural white at front and brown at back :D
Hairdresser trainee has injured his knee :(

I bought two packs of hot cross buns so can claim back on those :)

Good news is we made £245 for Chrisitian Aid at the soup lunch I organised for today. I am shattered and I wasn't waiting on tables or washing up. I helped organise it then sat and took money on the door.

Final-ish GE electricity bill arrived today. It has gone to £749!! I have no idea what has happened. Except I sent a meter reading in. Must check they took it down correctly. Sorry but thought about it as I wrote.

Today I have been sorting paperwork for an assessment for a grant on Monday. They want to know all our income and outgoings.

I came across lots of old letters from parents and step parents. A bit happy and a bit sad.

A bit of a result though as I can now see the wooden top of my desk. It has been missing for around a year.

DS1 is feeling less stressed. His fiancee had surgery two days ago so it was foremost on his mind. I wish we had told me though. I found out on FB. She is fine.

I can't believe the price of the final electricity bill.
Did they think they were supplying you with gold?

Well done on the money you made for Christian Aid. :T

Keep going and you will get there, I'm confident of this.

We have loads of snow today and the council didn't replenish our grit piles when I asked. It used to be done regularly without us needing to ask.

Mr Pooh is going to see if he can find some elsewhere to clear our road. He dug it out but couldn't clear the ice !!

I have had a phone call from a very helpful woman at the council. She says they received my message on 10th February and passed it on. Someone gritted the road that day but didn't replenish grit piles. Mr Pooh and DS1 have been to 'borrow' some from another road in the pickup. Grr to council cutbacks.....
