Bet your hair looks lovely Pooh and hopefully it has cheered you up. I am so pleased you are toasty, if only in the Living Room . Another days work for Mr Pooh as well, all sounds good.

I am so sorry to hear about the theft, poor DB that must have hit him hard. I honestly cant believe how some people behave, but I could rant on about such things forever. He is very lucky to have you looking after him and feeding him xx

  • Hey Pooh, yay to new hair, boo to nasty people.

Has he checked if he can claim off his house insurance, after all it is theft?

My new hair do has cheered me up but the grey hasn't all gone as I couldn't have the dye touching my scalp. It has a few flecks of grey still to make it look more natural. I am a granny after all :D

DB had borrowed the money for the oil and it was stolen the same day. Mr P is keeping an eye on him. I wish we could help him replace it but we can't. He has no household insurance as he had just a suitcase of belongings. All he had for someone to steal was a bag of gifts he has received in the last couple of years.

Mr P and I had a trip out to look at the job he started last week before the snow. It is higher up the fell from here and about a foot deep in snow so he won't be finishing it this week. We had a short walk and enjoyed the fantastic views.

    Another NSD today too.

It has been a very odd day. I have just realised..

I haven't been totally obsessed with money all day and how I am going to pay the bills. I have spent time doing things I like, except the ironing :p

For the first time in months I feel relaxed and that I am achieving something. The grant has made a new woman of me.

Yesterday I spent time paying a small amount to everyone we owe. It wasn't a lot each but it shows we mean to pay them back. And it is a start.

Thank you everyone. It has been an odd couple of days. Being able to buy fuel for the car was an amazing feeling. I actually filled it up. :D

We had been using any available balance on a credit card, when we had paid the minimum balance, to buy fuel. Juggling credit cards and getting nowhere.

The only debts to have gone down recently have been the loan and mortgages but at least we managed to pay them. :D

I still haven't managed to contact 5ky about reducing our costs. We use it as our entertaniment a lot especially when we have bad weather/snowed in so don't want to get rid of it totally.

Last night we were invited to a St Patrick's do and to go to see a band. I can't remember the last time we went out socially like that but we decided against it. It would have cost money we don't have. So, we stayed in and I chose a film on 8ox office. £3.99 I think. I still felt as though it was a huge extragavence.

Mr Pooh has gone to the pub to watch a footie match and I have told him how much he can spend. He is meeting a potential client there. We just need the snow to go and then he can go back to work proper.
