Today I am sorting through paperwork to find out exactly where we stand right now. It will mean updating my signature later. Hopefully the debt hasn't gone up
If it stays the same I will be happy.
I am still feeling a lot less stressed.
We have an assessment for the Gre3n d3al on Wednesday which will give us a better picture of what we should do to improve this house to make it more efficient.
We do know that the external walls need insulating and the hall ceiling which is now insulated needs another layer and then plastering. What we want to know is which is the most efficient heating system for this type of house. Wood is lovely but extremely hard work for Mr Pooh. He spent most of Saturday cutting and splitting again.
Mr Pooh is at home again today as we have snow again.:eek:About 6 inches today. It has meant that Mr Pooh has done 20 miles in the pickup to get DS1 and DS3 to work.
It has been a long Winter, because of his depression but also because when he started to feel a bit better the snow arrivedat least I am still smiling.
One good thing about the snow is that it gives me NSDs
AND Mr Pooh has mopped floors and vacuumed around downstairs. He is now hanging up wet washing around the house:)business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

We have DS1's fiancee here for a few days. It is wonderful to meet her at last. She lives in the States.
Lots of family meals together and DS2 came home last night so we were all together againI am still being very frugal. I have made all the meals with help from the family and am making a birthday cake for DS1 who is 27 tomorrow. I hope he isn't reading this as it is meant to be a surprise.
Tonight DS1 is having a birthday/engagement party in the pub. The idea is to give the pub business and to take pressure of me
For his birthday he has asked us to pay towards the food in the pub tonight. We haven't worked out what we can afford yet but would have spent about £20 on his birthday present.
Most of the roads around here are closed because of drifting snow so Mr Pooh is going to have to go the long way round (more diesel)to collect DS1's friends from the station. It will be a bit of an adventure but 5 men should manage even if they have to dig their way through. I think the secretly enjoy it
No NSD yesterday as DD, DGD and DS1's DFiancee and I went out for a girl's day out. We went to a local charity shop where DD found a lovely new cardigan/jacket for me for £3.50. I bought 3 balls of wool so I can knit some more tea cosies/mug hugs and a 50p toy for DGD. DS1's fiancee bought 2 mugs. Then we had lunch in a local hotel. I spent £10 in total. It was a lovely relaxing day. And great to get to know fiancee. To top it all when we got home Mr Pooh had done all the housework and home the wet washing up. He is obviously feeling better and missing working. Here's hoping for a thaw soon. It feels a bit like seven brides for seven brothers here.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Happy birthday DS1 for tomorrow! I hope the party goes well tonight.
Lovely that you got to spend some girly time with his fiancee too.
It keeps trying to snow here but it hasn't amounted to much. Fingers crossed it all thaws from you soon XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Wow, loads has happened since I was last on here.
The party was a lot longer than planned as all the youngsters were snowed in here. Luckily I had enough ingredients to make two massive pans of soup and we had bread and milk in the freezer. We were stuck in for 2 whole days.
There were about 20 of us stuck here. And although we had food in the freezer not enough to feed everyone with the same things.
The road was eventually cleared by the council with a JCB digger as it was too deep for the snow plough. The deepest part of our lane was around 10 or more feet high.
Once we got out I had to go to glasgow with DS3 as he had an interview for a job. I met up with my cousin for lunchSo not a NSD. We made flasks of drinks for both journeys to save cash but did eat out in the evening.
We lost DS3 as he left his phone in the taxi to the interview but he had the idea to call the hotel where we hadn't quite checked out. Later that day a young lady rang me from DS3's phone to say she had found it. It turned out she was at the uni and my cousin's son works there.
They managed to organise a hand over and I ended up going across the city on the underground train to collect the phone. I had arranged to meet DS3 at the car and when I returned he was there waiting for me.
What we would have done without my cousin and her son I don't know.!
We then travelled home where the roads were okay until we got near home. We met a snow plough which stopped and the driver advised us not to go any further. So we turned round and parked the car where DH could come and collect us in the pickup.
The next day we were snowed in again but yesterday after a bit of digging DH managed to get the car out so we could go and see DD and DGD who had been stuck in their house since last week.
Last night the power went off but only for a couple of hours in the evening and then 4 hours during the night. It means the storage radiators did not get a full charge so the house is a bit chilly.
My trip to Glasgow cost me nothing as DS3 paid for everything and I got to see my cousin. I have another 3 NSDs to add to my total.
We had a green deal assessment last week but haven't chosen a provider yet as when I phoned them none are ready to give quotes. I did find we may be able to get free solid wall insulation and I have to phone BGas later.
Later today Prnce Ch4rles is visiting our village and DD wants to take DGD so I am going too. It seems as though we have to stand outside for 2 hours so we need to be well dressed for it. I have made a flask of tea too.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
