Oh bless you, I'm sure DS is kicking himself for his reaction, which as you rightly say is probably down to the stress of exams. Possibly he was cross with himself for failing to do what he'd promised as pay back for all you have done for him and the only way he could deal with it was by reacting this way. I'm sure he'll apologise at some point but in the meantime, just reassure yourself that he didn't mean it.

Hope Mr P manages to persuade DB and you enjoy your dinner

I have had a much better day today.
And the Christmas dinner we had on Sunday was lovely. I had the family who were away for Christmas here and Mr P persuaded DB to come too. We had DS2 and DS£ missing but they were here for Christmas with us.

DS3 passed his oral exam yesterday and is now a qualified marine engineer. So he bought a bottle of cava and DD bought a pack of A1di quick fry steaks last night. There were five in the pack so plenty with chips and grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. It felt like a fancy meal and it wasn't expensive.
It was flower club Christmas lunch today and DS3 paid for me to go along. Lots of really lovely people and lots of laughs which was just what I needed.

A friend asked me to go to see Les Miserables tomorrow with the WI as there is a spare seat. I have had it paid for by DH for my birthday. Not sure if I can sit for 3 hours but if I get an end seat I can stand, walk etc. It is a small privately owned cinema so just £4 :D

Tomorrow we launch the 90kg rice challenge to send a child to school in Malawi for a year. I am hoping there will be some interest.
90kg seems like a lot of rice especially at this time of year when so many are short of money, but I am hoping that when the churches launch it in Lent there will be more interest. I have put my name down for 5 to start things off and my friend says she will have five too...

We tried to put DS3 on Mr P's pickup insurance but it is another £500 for the year on top of what we pay so he will have to walk to work. It just seemed an idea for him to use it as Mr P isn't up to much yet. He did take the dogs for a walk thisd afternoon. It was after he saw his counsellor yesterday and had to admit that he hadn't done it yet. He went across the fields. Found there were no livestock in the fields. Let the dogs off the lead and the big dog ran away. Luckily we managed to get him back before he vanished completely, a squeaky toy got him to come home. The farmer had left a gate open and dog1 saw it as an invitation to run and chase rabbits. He is shattered now.

So another NSD as it was DS3's money I spent:D

    Thank you.:D
I don't feel much of an inspiration and you have made me smile :D

Les Miserables was great and it did me good to just lose myself in a film. And I got in as an OAP as the lady who dropped out was elderly and the cinema said it was too difficult to change the ticket :D

Off to the hospital with DA tomorrow. She is a feisty old girl so I imagine she may be a bit of a handful. DS3 says he will drive me to her house and with her to the hospital but he will do something else while we are there.

I think he had quite a fright with her on Monday. She was talking jibberish when he went to see her after his exam. So he took her straight to the doctors and then to a variety of pharmacies and then shopping before he came home here.

Just to add to our woes Mr P has been told by the accountant, today:mad:, that as they didn't file his accounts with the tax office before the end of December he has to pay £800 now. He usually pays it via PAYE. More miracles needed folks, as they want it by 30th January.

My quest for a 0% credit card to do a transfer has led me to being offered a card by Capita1 0ne @ 0% for 6 months :D. I am not sure what my credit limit is just yet. But even if it is just used to pay off the highest interest accounts it will help out a lot as I do begrudge them the interest :D Must NOT increase our debt!

ETA I have lots of things listed on 3bay and have lots of watchers so fingers crossed there too. And on 11NSDs

Just trading Scotland have set up the 90kg rice challenge. No money making for ourselves but to help others. We sold another 20kg this morning.

We buy it from Just Trading Scotland. What we are doing is 'selling' it locally and when we have 90 bags paid for or pledged we will order it and pay for it. You might find someone near you selling it..

Today we took DA to the memory clinic but first made her eat a hot meal and have a hot drink. Fed and watered she had much better memory than expected. Now feeling we should have taken her hungry and cold then they would have gained a truer picture.

DA offered to pay our petrol as it is a 120 mile round trip but I forgot to remind her ;D

A visit to a petrol station to buy £20 of fuel was a humiliating experience as I added some water to the purchase and debit and credit cards were both refused :( DS3 came to the rescue again.
