I've done one with pineapple juice and tomato ketchup (and other stuff :rotfl:) which is a nice light sauce (not the really cloying stuff you get in take aways)
    Must use my stash up!

I make mine with onions and peppers, pineapple, soy sauce, cider vinegar and tinned chopped tomatoes. It is very tasty and healthier than shop bought.

Tonight was home made parmigiani. Yum.

Tomorrow will be something with mince. I usually have a menu plan but it seems to have been abandoned. Tomorrow I will sit down and write one after another freezer inventory.

I spent £1 today at knit and natter, made chocolate muffins with DGD, and researched stainless steel splashbacks and chimney cooker hoods until I lost the will to continue. I want cheap AND good quality. And it has to fit in with our country style kitchen and range cooker. Another thing to do tomorrow.:)

Today we have £15.40 available in our current account. We do have some in a savings account but it is time we got back on the frugal wagon and started saving towards a new or refurbished porch. And it is time to live within our means and not from legacies.

Both porches need repair or renewal. I know the back porch will cost at least £10,000 as it is the full width of the back of the house. The front is about £3000 to replace. I have collected ideas of costs on internet which is why I know how much it could cost. If I had the back porch replaced I would extend it out to make it more a conservatory and less of a porch. I can but dream :D

Yesterday DD and I went to our allotment ( I had forgotten we had one!).
She weeded while I got to play with DGD. We now have some carrot, radish and spring onion seeds sown. We still have purple sprouting broccoli in the garden. And my lovely neighbour has more than she can eat too so we will have more to eat tonight.

Tonight we will have fish pie made with fish pie mix from Aldi, home made roux sauce and lots of mashed potato. I will make a lighter version for me, SW style.

My egg sales in aid of the hospice are up to £60 since last August. That is a total of £260. And donations in the cottage for the local red squirrel conservation group has raised £22.22 in the last 6 months.

Beanie shall we start saving? Maybe have a conservatory savings club? I reckon it will take me about eight years to save enough for a conservatory.

I still have my mortgage too. But one of them ends in 6 years :) I keep saying 'If I live long enough'. As my mum only lived to 62'. If I live long enough I will have a conservatory when the second mortgage is paid off.
