Debt free in ten years-my new, more realistic challenge.

I don't know where my posts have gone. The last few have not appeared. We are continuing to have internet problems. As we pay for two connections we hoped we would always have at least one working
But it is a price to pay for living in such a beautiful place.:)
Elizabeth hull, we had a lovely Easter thank you. DS2 cooked for all of us on Sunday and it was a beautiful meal he made. He bought all the ingredients too. I hope you had a lovely Easter too.
On Monday we visited a farm park/ rescue. It is run by a family and as they have recently moved premises we went to give our support. At the moment it is free to visit. A donation is recommended to help cover the upkeep of the animals. They have loads more space and everyone seemed happy to be there. It is hard work and they have rescued so many animals they should have medals. They are now in Co Durham so hopefully have chance of greater visitor numbers.
DGD fed some lambs which she loved. Despite living in the middle of a sheep farming address we don't very often see lambs which need bottle feeding.
Plastering has finished for now and the kitchen is drying out. The weather has been great for having the doors and windows open. The paint for the kitchen units has now been ordered and we started cleaning the door to get some of the grease off. It is difficult as it is invisible. Sugar soap was recommended by someone.
I will have to do before and after photos
Finances are still good. No major costs this week and still using food we got from MrS delivery a few weeks ago.
I should have been at DD' s today to help with baby but I have had an upset stomach again! So quarantined for today and hoping to be back with them tomorrow. As I have more of these episodes it is less likely to be an infection but I am being careful just in case.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

The problems with B4rclays business account has at last been sorted out. To compensate me for the problems they caused because of their new computer system I have been given a month's business mortgage payment, interest they charged me because their system had changed and £50 to say sorry. In total £402. I was told that quite a few people were in the same situation as me and they are working through them and offering compensation. As I didn't ask for anything other than an answer I was pleasantly surprised.
We have received our annual mortgage statements and they are £83000 for personal and £21000 for business. Still awaiting the business kitchen loan balance for the year.
The kitchen makeover is coming along very slowly. I can't do much painting of doors without pain so have been doing a little at a time. The doors are taking 4 coats plus 2 of sealant. So far I have completely finished 4 doors and part finished 4. The new larder cupboard looks lovely. DS2 put the doors back on this afternoon. it looks smart. When I have finished I will add up the cost of the complete makeover.
We are taking a break from having walls replastered until we have saved up a little more money. The two finished walls and ceiling have been done well. The chimney breast wall will need a lot of work as it has a hole which was temporarily blocked after the oil boiler was taken out. It is also badly cracked from a chimney fire.
We are still having internet problems so will probably not post much until it is properly fixed.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
