Thank you all for the congratulations. DD seems to be a lot healthier. She had terrible morning sickness last time and terrible pelvic pain.

Yesterday I took a huge step and used last of Dad's money to pay for flights for DS2, Mr P and I to go to Florida to visit DS1 and DDIL. I felt very very nervous too use everything but we had decided a long time ago that we would do this. The plan is to go to Florida instead of our winter trip to Lanzarote to hopefully keep Mr P's black dog at bay. The two years we had a cheap week in the sun he managed the whole winter without any episodes of depression.

We also paid for DS2 to renew his passport. He has left his flat and and now lives with us. It hasn't helped his depression in the last weeks but the thought of going to see his brother has really helped. He is out of bed today!! :D:D First day in months he has done it without being pestered. I paid extra so he can fly with DS3 who has already booked his flights. We will overlap their stay by 4 days. They can do scary rides etc on days we aren't there.

Frugal becomes extreme frugal from now on. Except we have been invited to join a friend in Scotland for a few days. I am thinking if we drive sensibly and cook our own food all should be okay.

The cottage is occupied almost all the time in September and October with a few breaks in November and December which I am sure will be filled. We are on over 85% occupancy this year.

I have all the accounts info with the accountant so we can now breathe a huge sigh of relief it is done for another year.

We will get a small legacy from DA and I will use it to pay the garage bill and Mr P's credit card. Once we have done that the only debts we will have are business debts and mortgage. I think that means we are personally debt free. Does anyone know? Will I get a badge or do I have to get rid of business debt too? Silly getting excited at thought of a badge :)

We are having a debate here. Not heated luckily :D

The dilemma: The wooden flooring I bought for the hall floor months ago needed to be relaid because it came apart. DS2 and I spent a long time on Wednesday trying to relay it. Every time we got so far and a bit further back popped out. So last night DSIL and DS2 spent hours redoing it again and the same thing happened over and over.

DSIL and DD are offering to pay for us to have it laid by a professional and they will pay for it. It seems so wrong for them to pay for it for us and they even said we don't have to pay it back. The main advantage of a professional is that they will have the correct tools. I thought I would write about it on here while I mull it over in my mind. Mr P isn't going to lay it as he laid it first and now has a shoulder injury.... He says just finish it and don't be so picky. He said pernickety but I can't spell it.
