I can't imagine how you could possibly manage with three children. Maybe a day out without the children could be arranged?
Yesterday was a NSD
Today we should have the plumbers arriving to install the boiler and put in two new radiators. By the end of the week we will have central heating
:T:j yay to the central heating
The last time I went to London was with 5 kids and my sister (who is even scattier than me!) We lost my sister once, my eldest twice and my sister's eldest once. Was an utter nightmare. We were in a museum when all the losses happened and it was mostly because people were pushing and shoving us apart. Was horrible and I came out totally stressed and vowed never again :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. dfw You are very brave to take so many children with you into the city.
Heating engineers are still here. We went to the dentist and when we came home there were three vans outside our house and 4 engineers in the house. It is such a state it is best not to think about it.
We spent £18 each at the dentist and also £84 at 4ldi. I bought another two balls of their aran knitting wool. It is great quality and very cheap. We are well stocked up with fresh food again. It is amazing to have a full fridge. This time last year we could not have imagined it.
The downside is that we received a bill from our local garage £1700!!!!
Some of it is what we still owe from last year's bill. I have to admit I had forgotten about it.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

brizzled, you are right. Life seems so much easier now. I guess not having the worry of DA along with not having massive money worries is helping me.
I must keep focussed on money saving though
Today's job is to find accommodation for 7 of us at Niagara falls
Very exciting times coming up.
Plus I am making appointments to meet estate agents at DA's house.

Yesterday was a snow day and a NSD. Though I did pop into the pub for a cuppa £1.25, but someone else paid
Our cooker is leaking gas so we have had some odd meals. It is covered under an appliance guarantee so we have turned off the gas bottles and have someone coming tomorrow to look at it. We had no one in the cottage on Friday night so we had dinner in there. It is the first time I have cooked a meal in there. it is a great hob, good a and hot so things were cooked quickly.
Today we are going to DD's for dinner. I have offered to take a pudding but as I have been in with my neighbour chatting I am going to go and buy something nice at the coop.
Tomorrow DS2 has an interview at the job centre so I may go with him to see if we can get his housing benefit sorted out. It is over 4 months since he lost his job and not a penny has been paid to help him. DS3 paid his rent one month, I paid it last month and I have paid half of it this month.|It is money we could really use ourselves but |DS2 is desperate. It is sad that the people who really need it are being fobbed off with excuse after excuse. We don't have a lot of money left to pay DS2's rent each month. He is going to give me permission to talk to the council about housing benefit. he has been unemployed since September and hasn't had any HB either.
The GP signed him off sick for a month as he is very depressed. Just hoping he isn't going to be like his dadWe are both trying to motivate him but he has had so many knocks ion the last few years he is feeling like life is against him.
We helped out a young couple who were pennyless last week as they had no food left and no spare money after paying for their electricity. The food bank were able to help. Thank goodness we set it up.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

The cooker engineer called here today. It is a good thing we turned the gas bottles off as there is a huge hole in the pipe beneath the oven burner and it was a disaster waiting to happen. We are all happy we noticed in time.
And the boiler installation is nearing completion. The flue is going in tomorrow
