yes i know! i feel like i am going to end up in a dive somewhere! or pay over the top prices!

All I can recommend is you book a cancellable room.

This Candlewood suites in Jersey city has rooms at $199 + taxes.

It is clean etc and has a good location across the Hudson.

Gives you time to get a better place or bid on priceline at the last minute.

Thanks Blindman, we may have to stay a little further from the centre although we did not want to do this.

    Thanks

    Hi,

For an apartment in New York, try https://www.colbyinternational.com. We have used them for the past 3 years. Very reasonable price and it is a UK booking agent.
  • as i suggested earlier a superior studio at property number 11 on apartments2book.com costs 165 dollars plus taxes!
it's at the hotel beacon which has really good reviews on tripadviser.com

thanks whizzkid i have emailed them.
  • Angel 777, just had a thought - your dates are leading up to 31st October - Halloween - a big celebration in the USA, especially in NY, could be why you're having a bit of problem finding accommodation, have you tried emailing Ingrite again, she may not have received your first one.
